MONITORING AND EVALUATION YSU RECTOR TOWARDS U-19 NATIONAL TEAM

As an attempt to monitor and evaluate young national athletes of Indonesia, Yogyakarta State University (YSU) is committed to support potential development of Indonesian athletes, both inside and outside the field of play. The commitment is reflected from the opening of a special class to accommodate the learning process of U-19 national team players in the Sport Coaching Education, Faculty of Sport Science (FSS). The team belongs to Class D and have taken 30 credits so far.

PARALEL COMMISSION MEETING OF 2016 IRF IN YSU

Colleges should improve quality in today’s more intense competition, i.e. by way of training and innovation conducted by higher education. Higher education is considered good if it benefits industry and society. Higher education is expected to generate useful innovation through research. Then, research publication can be developed into an innovation. This is according to the statement of Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, Prof. Mohamad Nasir, Ph.d., Ak.

JOKOWI WISHES YSU’S HYBRID CAR TO BE ACCEPTED IN THE INDUSTRIAL WORLD

The President of Republic of Indonesia, Ir.Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has shown his appreciation on the electric and hybrid cars made by the students of Yogyakarta State University (YSU). Furthermore, the President praised highly the work of the YSU’s students and expressed his content when he heard the achievements of YSU’s student on the world level.

JOKOWI OPENS 2016 NATIONAL CONFERENCE INDONESIAN RECTOR FORUM

Indonesian President, Ir. H. Joko Widodo, gave opening remarks at 2016 National Conference of Indonesian Rectors Forum in Yogyakarta State University (YSU) Auditorium. As the keynote speaker, Jokowi conveyed and promoted Mental Revolution theme to support the creation of Golden Generation. Accompanying the President were Minister of Research and Higher Education, Prof. H Mohammad Nasir, Ph D., Ak.; Governor of Yogyakarta Special Region, Dr. (H) Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X, and the Chairman of FRI who is also YSU Rector, Prof. Dr. Rochmat Wahab, M. Pd., M.A.

STUDENT PRESENTATION AT INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN THAILAND

Three papers of students majoring in Biology Education, Faculty of Mathematics and Science, Yogyakarta State University (YSU) passed the elimination stage and were eligible to be presented at 2015 International Conference on Biological and Environmental Science (BIOES), not so long ago. The conference was organized by Universal Researcher at The Kee Resort and Spa Hotel, Patong, Kathu, Phuket, Thailand.

FAREWELL CEREMONY OF MSU STUDENTS TAKING CREDIT TRANSFER IN YSU

“Hopefully, your experience of joining credit transfer program could be disseminated to the other students in Medan” says Drs. Wardan Suyanto, M.A., Ed.D. in Farewell Ceremony of Credit Transfer Program of Medan State University (MSU) students in Yogyakarta State University (YSU). The agenda took place on Friday (21/1/2016) from 13.00 to 14.30 in East Meeting Room, YSU Rectorate Building. Attending the agenda were Drs. Wardan Suyanto, M.A., Ed.D. as YSU Vice Rector 1; Dr. Taat Wulandari as Vice Dean 1, Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS) YSU; Dr. Mukhamad Murdiono, S.Pd.,M.Pd.

CURTIN UNIVERSITY MAKES ATTRACTIVE OFFERS TO YSU

As a globally oriented university, Curtin University is currently seeking international cooperating partners, one of their efforts is visiting the Yogyakarta State University (YSU) on Friday (05/27/2016) at the RKU room, YSU. As the representatives of Curtin University, Prof. Seth Kunin as the Deputy Vice Chancelor International, Assoc.Prof Anna Parkin as the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, and Josephine Ratna, Ph.D. were present. Their visit was welcomed by YSU‘s Vice Rector of Cooperation and Development, Dr.rer.nat. Senam.

A YSU FASHION SHOW "HERITAGE EXOTISMIC LUMINOUS"

Students of Fashion Education Study Program and Fashion Diploma year 2013, Faculty of Engineering Yogyakarta State University (YSU) have just presented a fashion show with the title of "HEXOMINOUS", which stands for "Heritage Exotismic Luminous" (19/01/2016) in YSU Auditorium. The fashion show is the final project of Fashion Show Management course taken by the students. The assessment is determined from the ability to manage fashion exhibition, perform countless fashion cocktail, Moslem clothing, yukata for gala dinner, etc.

WELCOMING CEREMONY OF UPM STUDENTS IN YSU

On Thursday 14 January 2015, housed in Ramah Tamah room 2nd floor, Faculty of Economics (FE), Yogyakarta State University (YSU), a welcoming ceremony was held to initiate this year sit-in program of students from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in YSU. There are 20 students, accompanied by one supervising lecturer namely Dr. Yap Wing Fen. The agenda was opened by Director of the Office of International Affairs and Partnerships (OIAP) YSU, Dr.-Ing.
