FACULTY OF LANGUAGES AND ARTS’ (FBS) STUDENT WON HAMKA POETRY READING CONTEST

Faculty of Languages and Arts’ (FBS) student, Anisa Rahayu got the first place on poetry reading contest held in HAMKA 1 Senior High School, Bekasi as known as SMANSASI. The contest is an annual event managed by Kansas (Literature Writing Community). Anisa read Nirwanto’s “Perenang Buta” poetry. The poetry was published on poetry anthology with the title Jantung Lebah Ratu in Gramedia Pustaka Utama (GPU) 2008.

CERITA MAYA & MIRA : AN ANTOLOGY BOOK OF SHORT STORIES BY FBS STUDENTS

Two students from Faculty of Language and Arts (FBS), Nadhila Hibatul Nastika Putri and Muhammad Fajar Riyadi (also known as Uye), published an antology of short story book by title Cerita Maya & Mira. The book is published by Quark on February 2019.

Both Nadhila and Uye believed that it is important to published their work in a book. “Publishing a book is really important, because we will have the other work besides the thesis book on our academic life as a college student,” said Uye.

THE INAUGURATION OF PROFESSOR OF MACHINING PROCESSES SCIENCE

Machining Process is a process which used for removing some work unit dimension using machine tool and metal cutting process so the intended components are shaped. To this date, the machining process is the most used process in making some complete machine components and as a manufacturing process which has an important role in the process of making tools and machines unit.

Strengthening food security and community health status is not only the responsibility of the government, but also the responsibility of each person as citizen of Indonesia. NEW ZEALAND EDUCATION AND SCHOLARSHIP INFO SESSION AT UNY

In collaboration with the International Office of UNY, New Zealand Education held an info session of education and scholarship titled “Study, Live and Work in New Zealand” in the main assembly room, Rectors Building, on Wednesday, February 12, 2020.

Adi Cilik Pierewan, Expert Staff for International Affairs of UNY said that the event is set to give information for everyone who wants to continue their study abroad. “This is important for final semester students in Yogyakarta, especially in UNY as part of their preparation for future higher education application.”

TECHNOLOGY’S ROLE IN ARTS

“Nowadays, those who works on art should understand technology so that we can improve further. In the past we didn’t expected that arts would have important role in this country. In the past, art was seen as wasting time and useless activity. At present, art has more than that thanks to tourism development along with art and culture activities done by society.  The last report stated that the tourism sector has already contributed 250 trillion Rupiah.

RESEARCH COLLABORATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICE BETWEEN UNIVERSITAS NEGERI YOGYAKARTA (UNY) WITH UNIVERSITAS TERBUKA (UT)

The collaborative research approach is to enrich and produce more comprehensive research, as an effort to balancing the rapid development of science and technology which is multi discipline. The chairman of Institute of Research and Community Service Universitas Terbuka (LPPM UT) offering a research collaboration and community service to the chairman of Association for Indonesian Teacher Education Institution (ALPTKNI).

UNY MECHANICAL ENGINEERING STUDENTS EXPO 2020

Department of Mechanical Engineering Education UNY organized exhibition of student’s work behind KPLT Building (07/02/2020). This event was held as part of final result of the course on applied technology from student of class 2013. There were numbers of product innovation that expected to answer various problems in our society. Besides being used as an exhibition to promote UNY students work, this event was also used to asses and test the student work product.

OFFICIAL INAUGURATION OF UNY’S FACULTY OF ENGINEERING STUDENT’S ORGANIZATION MANAGEMENT 2020

UNY Faculty of Engineering always support for any positive student activities both on academic and non-academic fields. Those activities hopefully will help students to earn better insight and experience. Every year, new student’s organization management is inaugurated. For this year, hundreds of students from 15 student organization bodies in Faculty of Engineering is officially inaugurated. The ceremony was held on 27 January 2020 at KPLT hall.

UNY CO-HOSTED CANDIDATE OF GOVERNMENT CIVIL SERVANT TEST

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta earned the trust of Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD) from Banyumas, Cilacap, Purbalingga, Kebumen, Banjarnegara, and Rembang Districts to host Computer Assisted Test (CAT) for the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) for prospective civil servants in the six districts. According to Setyo Budi Takarina as the Head Bureau of Academic, Students Affairs and Cooperation said that UNY test location will be attended by BKD, Inspectorate and representative of Ministry of Communication and Informatics as the exam supervisor.
