UNY was awarded as a collaborator partner of the Social Innovation Week activity as a form of implementation of UNY Mbangun Deso (UNY Program on Village Development) cooperation with Karang Taruna Yogyakarta (Yogyakarta Youth Organization).

Peanuts are one of Gunungkidul's famous crops. Peanuts have many benefits, including reducing the risk of cancer, preventing the formation of gallstones, maintaining heart health, controlling blood sugar levels and helping to lose weight. So far, peanut processing has only been boiled or fried. The community service team of UNY students led by Afifah Nur Adila processed this local food into Kacang Umpet with many flavours. "The production of these beans was initiated by the women of Kepuh hamlet who are members of the Amanah MSME.

Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Didik Nurhadiyanto, ST., MT., IPU, ASEAN Eng. gave a public lecture in front of the staff and students of the Undergraduate, Masters and Doctoral Degree Department of Mining and Metallurgical Institute, Satbayev University, Kazakhstan. Prof. Didik Nurhadiyanto gave material in public lectures on two topics. The first topic is the 'Development of Corrugated Metal Gaskets for Pipe-to-Pipe Joints'.

For this reason, UNY has developed a healthy snack, namely UNYBar. "Available in milk, chocolate, banana, strawberry, vanilla, and grape flavors," said Prof. Siswantoyo. This product is one of the works of the Center of excellence for science and technology and innovation.

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is commonly found in most tropical and subtropical regions. DHF is caused by the dengue virus, which enters the human bloodstream through the bite of the Aedes aegypti mosquito. Aedes aegypti's life cycle starts from the egg, larva, pupa, and adult mosquito stages. The egg, larva, and pupa stages of mosquitoes are in the water, while as adults, mosquitoes actively fly to find food from human blood, animal blood, or plant extracts.

Robot Mobo Evo from UNY managed to achieve first place in the National Robot Indonesia Contest (KRI) held this week online. This competition is organized by the National Achievement Center, Ministry of Cultural Education Research and Technology.  Mobo Evo was ranked number one in the Indonesian Football Robot Contest (KRSBI) Wheeled division which is one of the new categories that adopting 1997’s RoboCup Middle Size League international level.
