UNY STUDENTS TEAM WON FAVORITE WINNER AT PIMNAS

UNY Students Creativity Program Team won as favorite winner in National Students Scientific Week (Pimnas) in Bali. The team consist of Lilik Nurkhamid and Andi Siyam Mawardi (Fine Arts Education), Najla Ifa Mumtaza (Accounting Education), Anggi Fatika Sari (Chemical Education) and Nadhila Hibatul Nastikaputri (Indonesian Language and Literature). The team made the work under title “Panji Mask Backpack as Gunungkidul Iconic Handicraft” as unique souvenir of Gunungkidul.

PERMATA SAKTI EXPERIENCE AT UNY

Nuha Aulia Fadhillah from Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) has participated in PERMATA SAKTI Program conducted in Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). This program gave the opportunity for students in various university in Indonesia to get a taste on how to live and study at different university. This program run in reciprocal approach. UNY hosted several students from UNP to study in UNY while at the same time, UNY also send several Students to study in UNP.  “I’ve learned many ways to adapt and respect people despite of cultural differences,” Nuha said.

UNY STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN SHORT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM AT SOUTHERN TAIWAN UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

Yuda Pamungkas (Electronics Engineering Education) and Muhammad Solikhin (Automotive Engineering Education) took part in the Short Internship Program at Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology (STUST), Tainan City, Taiwan which lasted for two weeks (04 / 11-16 / 11/2019). The internship itself placed them both in Mechanical-Mechatronics Engineering and Mechanical-Thermo Fluids, and Energy Laboratory.

INSTRUCTOR OF INTERNATIONAL PICKLEBALL TEACHING PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION VISITED UNY

UNY Faculty of Sport Sciences , Thursday (11/14) had the opportunity to receive guests from IFP (International Federation of Pickleball), Jeff van der Hulst. He is a Level 2 Instructor International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association. On the occasion Jeff handed over 12 paddles and 6 balls for indoor as well as 6 balls used in outdoor fields.

VISITING PROFESSOR ASSOCIATE DEE DEE MAHMOOD SHARED HER KNOWLEDGE IN FACULTY OF SPORT SCIENCES UNY

To contribute UNY effort  towards Wolrd Class University, Faculty of Sport Sciences through Sport Coaching Education Study Program invited Dee Dee Mahmood from Singapore. Dee Dee is a lecturer at Edith Cowan University, Singapore. She completed her bachelor of Science and Sport management at Edith Cowan University and completed her post graduate in Gymnastic Science at Nanyang University Singapore.

UNY STUDENTS ACHIEVE THE SILVER AWARD AND FB LUCKY DRAW IN INIIC 2019 IN MALAYSIA

Students of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta consisting of Arif Hidayat (Communication Department) and Farhan Kusuma Wardana (Department of Physics Education) won Silver Award Category B2 (Science, Engineering & Technology) and FB Lucky Draw in the International Invention & Innovative Competition (InIIC) organized by MNNF NETWORK. The event took place at the Palace of the Golden Horses, Selangor, Malaysia on 31 October-3 November 2019.

FACUTY OF ENGINEERING READY TO SEND STUDENTS TO ASEAN BARISTA AND LATTE ART COMPETITION 2019

Faculty of Engineering UNY ready to send Muhammad Fikri Maulana and Rafi Johandy to participate in ASEAN Barista and Latte Art Competition 2019. Both of them are students from Culinary and Fashion Department. This competition organized by Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia on 23 to 28 November 2019. International Collabs Student Malaysia has been selected as the competition arena.

UNY STUDENT WON FIRST PLACE AT NATIONAL ROCK CLIMBING COMPETITION

Arneta Putri from Psychology Department UNY won the first place in national rock climbing competition on Indonesian Psychology Innovation Week (PIPI) in Universitas Pancasila, Jakarta on 1 to 3 November 2019. This event previously known as Indonesia Psychology Olympiad (OPI) and has been organized for seventh times annually.

GARUDA UNY TEAM WON IN INDONESIAN ELECTRIC CAR COMPETION (KMLI) DESPITE OF 7 YEARS ABSENCE

The Indonesian Electric Car Competition (KMLI) 2019 ended on 16 November 2019. Garuda UNY Team has participated in the whole series of events at Politeknik Negeri Bandung. On the last day, several categories such as slalom, acceleration and braking, grade and parking still has competitive activities. Similar situation also set for non-race category such as presentation, best driver, best team and many more. There are 25 team participated in KMLI and UNY fortunately won on the braking category dispute of 7 years participation absence.
