Improving the quality of education through Curriculum Review of the English Education Department with Professor Jeanette and Dr. Ibrar

The Faculty of Language, Arts, and Culture UNY began the process of reviewing the curriculum of the English Education Study Program at the Bachelor and Master levels with a strong emphasis on the needs of stakeholders and the World of Business and Industry (DUDI). The collaboration involved two experts, Professor Jeanette G. Dials, Ed.D. from Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), Philippines, and Dr. Ibrar Bhatt from Queen's University Belfast, United Kingdom, to ensure the relevance and quality of graduates.

University of Nebraska–Lincoln Explores Partnership Opportunities with UNY

On March 7, 2014, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) welcomed a visit from two senior leaders of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL), USA—Prof. Thomas A. Farrell, Vice Provost for Global Engagement, and Prof. David Wilson, Senior International Officer and Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. They were accompanied by Faishol Adih, M.A., Program Manager of the American Institute for Indonesian Studies (AIFIS) Yogyakarta Office.

UNY Accounting Students Join Sit-In Program at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia

Thirty international class students from the Accounting Education program at the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), along with two lecturers and two staff members, participated in a sit-in program at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) from February 19–25, 2014. The visit, part of a six-month-planned international academic program, was slightly delayed due to the temporary closure of Adi Sutjipto Airport following the eruption of Mount Kelud.

UNY Hosts 2014 USINTEC Bi-Annual Meeting to Strengthen U.S.-Indonesia Education Partnership

The 2014 USINTEC Bi-Annual Meeting was held at UNY Hotel on Thursday, February 28, bringing together representatives from nine universities and USINTEC board members. USINTEC, a consortium of 15 Indonesian universities, SEAMOLEC, and The Ohio State University, focuses on improving human resource development and institutional capacity through international collaboration in teacher education.
