Director of the Directorate of Academic, Student Affairs, and Alumni of UNY, Prof. Guntur, M.Pd. received a visit from the Technical Implementation Unit of Campus Security and Order of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPT K3 UPI) on Thursday (5/9).

“Security is a comprehensive matter related to security, not just a matter of parking vehicles. The responsibilities of the Campus Security Unit as a whole, include regulating mobilization or transportation around campus, coordinating security and comfort related to vehicle parking following its designation, information and guest services in the lobby, monitoring the order and security of students or visitors who come to UNY either directly with regular patrols, or by utilizing CCTV media installed at vulnerable points of the campus environment,” said Prof. Guntur, M.Pd. who is also the UNY Security Supervisor.

The Technical Implementation Unit of Campus Security and Order of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, led by Dr. Dadi Darmadi, stated that his institution wanted to improve the performance and quality of security services. “We want to learn about the policies at UNY regarding security and comfort regarding vehicle parking, discipline if there are activities and events from the campus, as well as the involvement of the community around the campus,” said Dr. Dadi Darmadi.

Structurally, the security unit consists of the Central Security Unit commanded by Nurdin Ariyanto, and security guards in each Faculty/Unit under each Administrative Service Coordinator. UNY Security also routinely coordinates and fosters the community around the campus area, and involves in various major UNY events.
