Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) fully supports the government's efforts to create a good and decent work experience. Previously, UNY had an agreement with the Health Social Security Administration (BPJS Kesehatan). On Thursday, June 9, 2022, UNY completed this effort through an MoU Signing with the Employment Social Security Administration (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan).

"UNY appreciates BPJS's work and commitment to strengthening collaboration for the common good. Hopefully, after this ceremony, we can immediately collaborate for mutual benefits," said UNY Vice-Rector for Planning and Cooperation, Prof. Siswantoyo.

"The university's contribution is substantial for BPJS. Currently, students can access several programs, namely financial assistance for continuing master's degree, internship opportunities at the BPJS office, research experience and the BPJS program teaching around various campuses," said Abdur Rahman Irsyadi, Director General and HR of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan.

BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, through the BPJS teaching program, aims to give students a good understanding of various labor social security programs for the formal and informal sectors. The things covered by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan include care and treatment until recovery, medical aids (prosthetic limbs, prosthetic hands, and wheelchairs), death benefits and scholarships for orphan, savings, housing programs, Jamsostek for non-state employees, and job loss guarantees.

Abdur Rahman encouraged UNY, UPI, and UNJ to collaborate by presenting experts in the social and legal fields for mutual progress.
