Prospective UNY students have several choices in the admissions process. There are several schemes available, namely Computer-Based Written Test (UTBK), academic achievement pathway selection, sports achievement selection, and Computer Based Test (CBT) which is held on campus or domicile.
UNY conducted a campus Computer Based Test on July 8 to 10, 2024. 8,068 prospective students were competing for more than 70 diploma and undergraduate study programs. "The test locations are in Karangmalang Campus, Wates Campus and Gunungkidul Campus," said the Head of Admissions of UNY, Dr. Bambang Saptono.
One of the participants, Nur Aina Dewi Saputri, hoped to be accepted in Fashion Education UNY. "I have failed in the National Achievement-Based Selection (SNBP) and National Test-Based Selection (SNBT). Now I am following the independent path of the Campus Computer Based Test (CBT). Hopefully, I can be accepted because this campus has affordable tuition fees," she said.
