Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) won several awards at the 2022 Kemdikbudristek Diktiristek Award Night held by the Directorate General of Higher Education on Thursday, 15 December 2022. In the 2022 Diktiristek Public Relations Award, UNY won the Gold Winner for Social Media, Websites, and Integrated Service Units, while the magazine category won a Silver Winner. As for the Diktiristek Cooperation Award, UNY won the Gold Winner in the Management of Cooperation with Industry, Management of Cooperation Reports, and Management of International Cooperation, and for Growth of IKU 6 won a Bronze Winner. As for the Diktiristek Learning and Student Affairs Award, UNY won the Best I title for the category of State Higher Education with the Theme of Tracer Study Reporting, Best I Higher Education with the Theme of Reporting Study Programs that had been recognized Internationally, and won Best Higher Education II in the Indonesia Expo Student Entrepreneurship Activities.
The award was received by the Vice Rector for General Affairs and Finance, Prof. Dr. Edi Purwanta, M.Pd. who was accompanied by the Head of the Academic Bureau for Student Affairs and Cooperation Wisnu Sunarto, SIP, MM., Public Relations Working Group for Cooperation and Commercialization Prof. Dr. Anwar Efendi, M.Sc., and the Working Group for Foreign Cooperation Dr.Eng. Ir. Faqih Ma'arif M. Eng., IPM. and supporting technical team.
Prof. Ir. Nizam, M.Sc., DIC, Ph.D., IPU, ASEAN. Eng. Plt. The Director General of Higher Education, Research and Technology (Dirjen Diktiristek), Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) said this award was a form of appreciation for the cooperation that had been built together so far. The theme of Dikti in the last three years is "Working Together". "We join hands together to transform higher education towards future higher education, which prepares superior, adaptive, creative, and innovative human resources, of course with noble character for the bright future of our children," he said.
Prof. Edi Purwanto, said that this was an extraordinary achievement and an honor for UNY to win several awards in the competition held by the Directorate of Research and Technology. According to him, this manifests UNY's performance in transforming higher education, maximizing the implementation of higher education obligations, and strengthening emancipation learning. UNY's performance so far can be seen from the various efforts made to improve institutional governance, internationalize study programs, and increase the quality and quantity of cooperation, including with the business world and industry. "Our challenges going forward are more complex, so there must be more substantial efforts so that UNY can maintain this achievement,” he said.
