Learning Mathematical Modeling Knowledge with Professor Fugo Takasu

The Department of Mathematics Education UNY held a guest lecture by presenting a Professor from the Faculty of Science Nara Women's University Japan, Professor Fugo Takasu. The lecture took place in Conference Room 1 of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) UNY. A total of 50 participants consisting of master and doctoral program students attended the guest lecture with enthusiasm.

Encouraging the digitization of Doctor of Education through the Digital Doktor Training Hub (Digi-Doc) project

Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) received a visit from Birmingham City University (BCU) to present the Digi-Doc project. Besides BCU, there were also representatives from the Northeast Normal University of China, Vietnam National University (VNU), Nguyen Tat Thanh University NTTU) Vietnam, HCMC University of Education Vietnam, London South Bank University, and UNY Indonesia represented by Prof. Dr. Antuni Wiyarsi.  The activity was held Tuesday-Thursday recently at FMIPA UNY.

UNY Forges New Educational Collaborations at APAIE Conference 2024

The Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) Conference and Exhibition 2024, held from March 4th to 8th at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Center (PCEC) in Perth, Australia, witnessed the active participation of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). This annual event serves as a platform to promote and connect various higher education institutions. Over the years, APAIE has remained steadfast in its mission to unify international educators.

Stikes Guna Bangsa Students Practicum at UNY

A total of 44 students of the Nursing program from STIKES Guna Bangsa Yogyakarta practiced in the Physics Education laboratory and the Biology Education laboratory of UNY. The practice was held on Saturday, 2/3/24. Students were divided into 2 groups. The first group of 22 students went to the Basic Physics laboratory, and the other group went to the Basic Biology laboratory. The practicum was guided by the lecturers in the laboratory.

43 UNY students ready to join Batch II International Internship in Japan

UNY organized the Debriefing and Release of Students Participating in International Internship in Japan on Wednesday (29/2). A total of 43 students from 10 study programs will carry out internships in 7 companies, namely Watanabe Kogyo, Co., Ltd; Yokoyama Kenma Kogyo Co.; Yutaka Seisakusho, Co., Ltd.; Sagami Fresh Co,. Ltd.; Imazato Foods Co., Ltd.; Marco Foods Co., Ltd.; and Mutou Densetsu Kougyo, Co., Ltd. Since 2017, UNY has regularly sent students to Japan, to carry out internships for 6 months to 1 year, in industries that are relevant to the student's original study program.

Expanding access to resources and research reach through UNY's partnership with ITDA

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) and Institut Teknologi Dirgantara Adisucipto (ITDA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in education, research, and technology development on February 29, 2024 at Husein Sastranegara Hall, ITDA Campus, Yogyakarta.

UNY and ITDA agreed to strengthen various academic programs, student and staff exchanges, and collaboration in relevant research projects. The collaboration is expected to provide new opportunities for students and lecturers to access wider resources and experiences, as well as expand the range of research conducted.

Development of UNY international cooperation network through poetry workshop and signing of cooperation document with Michigan State University

UNY Graduate School encourages the development of cooperation networks with global partners. One of the implementations of this visit was realized through UNY's participation in various activities in the fields of education and arts. UNY, represented by Deputy Director II, Dr. Widyastuti Purbani, M.A. attended the Poetry Workshop at Michigan State University (MSU) as well as signed an Implementation Agreement aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two institutions.

UNY and Pertamina Foundation establish a sustainable strategic collaboration

UNY and Pertamina Foundation officially committed to partnering in the development of quality human resources, joint research and community service through the signing of a cooperation document on February 7, 2024. In this activity, UNY was represented by Prof. Margana as Vice-Rector for Research, Cooperation, Information Systems and Entrepreneurship. While the Pertamina Foundation delegation was directly led by Bambang Pediantoro as the Pertamina Foundation Supervisory Board, and Agus Mashud S. Asngari as the President Director of Pertamina Foundation.

UNY opens Zheng College Program Project Opportunities with JVIAT and Jiangsu Province

UNY signed the Implementation of Academic Cooperation with Jiangshu Polytechnic Institute. The UNY delegation led by the Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M.Kes., AIFO. The event was recently attended by the President of Jiangshu Vocational Institute of Architectural Technology, Head of JVIAT International Office, PiC Zheng He College Program for Asia. While from Indonesia, it was represented by the Director of SEAMEO, BBGP of  Banten Province and the representative of the Ministry of Education.

Sharing Partnership Strategy in World Digital Education and Digital Educational Governance

The Indonesian delegation participated in the 2024 World Digital Education and Digital Educational Governance held in Shanghai, People's Republic of China. The event was held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Shangha, Pudong, recently. UNY Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs Prof. Siswantoyo, who represented Indonesian universities in the forum, received a warm welcome from local UNESCO Tech officials and their staff.
