Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta signed a memorandum of understanding with Bank Woori Saudara (BWS) at UNY Hotel, on January 15, 2024. In this activity, Prof. Margana, as Vice Rector for Research, Cooperation, Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship Affairs, represented the Rector of UNY. In addition, the Vice Deans, the Director and Secretary of the Directorate, Expert Staff, and a number of UNY faculty members were also present.

The Department of Biology Education of UNY invited expert Prof. Dr. Ir. Rindang Dwiyani, M.Sc. from the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Udayana (UNUD) Bali, to discuss the propagation of strawberries by meristem culture. This method is one of the in vitro culture techniques commonly used for the purpose of producing plants that are free from virus, bacterial and fungal pathogens.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Roseleena Anantanukulwong from the Faculty of Science Technology and Agriculture, Yala Rajabhat University, Thailand, gave a public lecture to UNY Science Education students. Dr. Roseleena Anantanukulwong was a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNY at the Science Education Department.

To prevent drug abuse and self-detection from drug use, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta held a drug test for lecturers and teaching staff. The drug test was held at the Health and Sport Center Building of UNY's Faculty of Sport Sciences on Thursday (19/10) and is an annual agenda attended by around 200 participants.

"The fact is that learning to read is a complex process and does not happen by itself. Learning to read needs planning, teaching parts of reading skills," said Nuradi Indrawijaya, S.Pd, Head of the Yogyakarta Reading Interest Community Movement at Taman Bacaan Masyarakat (TBM) or Community Reading Corner  Nawasena Ngluwar, Magelang on September 25, 2023.

"Environmental preservation supported by local social and cultural values can create a sustainable ecosystem," said Edi Widodo, M.Pd, in a workshop entitled "Rawat Bumi Dusun Pulesari" on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. This message becomes very important as more and more villages are promoted as nature and cultural tourism villages. Tourism village management that does not consider natural sustainability has become an essential issue in the decline of village-based tourism.

Financial literacy is not just about numbers and equations. It is about building trust and financial security. By understanding how money works, managing personal finances, and making the right investment decisions, a person will have the necessary life skills. To socialize financial education and empower individuals to take control of their financial future, Generasi Cerdas Keuangan (GCK), together with the Indonesian Muslim Scholars Association (ICMI) and Diajeng Yogyakarta recently organized an exhibition of innovative financial literacy products.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) held an undergraduate graduation ceremony for the Bojonegoro Regency Village RPL Program on Sunday (17/9) at the Performance Hall of UNY's Faculty of Language, Arts and Culture. Three hundred eighty-four village officials attended the undergraduate graduation with details of 16 people from the Faculty of Education and Psychology, 186 from the Faculty of Social, Law and Political Sciences, and 182 from the Faculty of Economics and Business.
