OUTBOUND WITH YSU TUTORS AND STUDENT VOLUNTEERS

Fitri Alfarisy, S.Pd., staff person of the Office of International Affairs and Partnerships YSU addressed a question “What BIPA (Indonesian for Non-native Speakers) tutors and student volunteers really are?”. The question was part of 2nd day of “Capacity Building and Effective Communication Training For Ysu Tutors and Student Volunteers” organized in Wildlife Rescue Center Yogyakarta on 4 December 2015. As the former tutor, now he is the person in charge of BIPA in YSU.

UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA-LINCOLN INTENTION TO CO-WORK WITH YSU

The existence of Yogyakarta State University (YSU) as a World Class University is evidenced by its attempt to host more visitation from foreign universities and partners which are in the intention to co-work with YSU. STUDY AND SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY IN SWEDEN IS STILL OPEN

Titi Holmgren from Nordic Student Service has recently divvied up tips and tricks on study and scholarship in Sweden among 70 YSU students. Held on Friday (11/12/2015) in Main Meeting Room, YSU Rectorate building, the agenda was facilitated by the Office of International Affairs and Partnerships (OIAP), YSU. Moderating this event was Nur Insani, M.Sc., as the Secretary to Foreign Partnership Division, OIAP. The participants who were mostly students seemed excited and were actively involved in the discussion.

MONITORING AND EVALUATION ON ENGLISH WEBSITE OF UIAP

The Office of International Affairs and Partnerships (OIAP), Yogyakarta State University, has just undertaken Monitoring and Evaluation on English-version faculty websites by Unit of International Affairs and Partnerships (UIAP) on Tuesday (10/12/2015). Housed in Main Meeting Room, YSU Rectorate, attending the agenda were public relations staff and UIAP staff at the faculty level as well as IRCS (Institute of Research and Community Service) and IEDQA (Institute of Educational Development and Quality Assurance) staff.

ATTEMPTING TO ESTABLISH BIPA, UNNISULLA PAID A VISIT TO YSU

“Internationalization in YSU comes up roses, with good cooperation, internasionalization is not impossible to realize”, says Dr-Ing Satoto E Nayono MEng MSc in welcoming representatives of Sultan Agung Islamic University (Unissula) of Semarang who paid a visit to Yogyakarta State University (YSU) on Friday (11/12/2015). The UNISSULA deputation namely Muna Yastuti Madrah, MA as Head of Cooperation Unit and Retno Dwi Fajriati, S.Pd as Secretary of International Language Development Unit were warmly greeted in West Senate Room, YSU Rectorate building.

Bargaining in Demangan Market

On Monday (30/11/2015), international students taking BIPA (Indonesian Language for Non-native Speakers) course attended a tutorial class in the outside, that is, in Demangan market. First, they had to walk in an extremely sunny day, but it did not discourage their intention and curiosity to join the class. “I never go to Demangan market”, says one of the international students in full of enthusiasm.

SOCIALIZATION ON INTERNAL MONITORING BY INSPECTORATE GENERAL OF SMRTHE

Inspectorate general of State Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (SMRTHE), Prof. Dr. H. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum. made a visitation to YSU in the attempt to socialize strategy for internal monitoring. It took place in YSU Meeting Room on Monday, 30 November 2015, by inviting Dean, Vice Dean, Head of Division, and Head of Sub-division in YSU. Opening the agenda was Rector of YSU, Prof. Dr. Rochmat Wahab, M.Pd., M.A. He revealed that YSU is committed to green and clean government university as part of its mission as mandated.

UTM – YSU MINI SEMINAR ON SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH PUBLICATION

Faculty of Engineering YSU in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia organized joint seminar entitled “International Scientific Research Publication Seminar in TVET (Technical And Vocational Education and Training)” on Saturday (28/11/2015) in KPLT Building, Faculty of Engineering YSU. Attending the seminar were Master’s students of Vocational Education from both universities.
