"The number of UNY retirees is 903 people consisting of 374 lecturers and 529 staff members," said the UNY Retirees Association (IKAPEN) chairman, Dr. Sardiman. With many members, IKAPEN seeks to create work programs that support improving the quality of life of retirees. So far, IKAPEN has carried out workshops and health tests, gymnastics, recreational tours once a year, social services, karawitan exercises, talent search events for older adults, and visits to seniors.
 

UNY and Bangka Belitung Province Evaluate Students under the Partnership Scheme

"Lectures nowadays are not only face-to-face because we also provide opportunities for students to do off-campus activities as an implementation of independent campus learning," said Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs of UNY, Prof. Siswantoyo. Regarding Bangka Belitung Province, UNY currently has many alumni from this province. UNY oversees the assignment of scholarship students from Bangka Belitung, and the results of their learning can be seen in the track record submitted to the delegation from the provincial government.

Tuesday (18/04/2023) Faculty of Languages, Arts, and Culture of UNY held a Welcoming Ceremony for Visiting Professors from Suleyman Demirel University (SDU) Kazakhstan, Prof. Adilzhan Anay, Madina Ashirimbetova and Totgyn Ayazbay. Prof. Adilzhan Anay representing the delegation from SDU, expressed his excitement to come to UNY to implement cooperation in the form of a Visiting Professor program.

Cooperation between UNY and Wuling Motors in human resource development through Technician & Customer Care Training

As a new player in the automotive, PT SGMW Sales Indonesia's sales have increased since 2017. In 2021, vehicle unit sales amounted to 23,290; in 2022, sales increased to 33,000. The increasing sales of vehicle units encourage PT Wuling Motor Indonesia to provide after-sales services by increasing sales and maintenance workshops throughout Indonesia. The number of specialized human resources to provide aftersales services at PT SGMW Sales Indonesia is 521 people (2020), 611 people (2021), and 792 people (2022).

Beach Clean Up and Ecobric Workshop: Community Service of UNY International Students

The Faculty of Language, Arts and Culture of Yogyakarta State University organized a social service outing for FBSB UNY International Students at Parangkusumo Beach. With the title "Beach Clean Up", this activity is a social service of beach cleaning, eco-bricking workshops and literacy-based fun activities with children around the beach. This activity involved international students taking credit transfer, bachelor and master programs at UNY. Forty-five international students participated in this activity.

Karang Taruna (Youth Organization) of The Special Region of Yogyakarta signed a memorandum of understanding with UNY on Wednesday (5/4) in the Main Conference Room of the Rectorate. Opening of Thai Language Course Program in Cooperation between the French Education Study Program of UNY and the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Maejo University, Thailand

The Thai Language Course Program officially opened on Tuesday (04/04/2023). This program is a collaboration between the French Education Study Program of UNY and the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Maejo University, Thailand. The meeting was held online with the host  Herman, M.Pd, followed by students participating in the Thai Class, lecturers of the French Language Education Study Program, and Ajarn (Lecturers) from the Faculty of Liberal Arts Maejo Univ Thailand.
