Preparing Students with Disabilities Through Inspiring Career Workshop

On Monday, April 28, 2025, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) took a meaningful step toward supporting students with disabilities by hosting a career guidance workshop titled "Disability and the World of Work." Held on the 7th floor of the Imam Barnadib Building, the event aimed to empower students by helping them develop practical skills, explore career opportunities, and learn strategies for managing time and priorities to achieve their professional dreams.

UNY Ensures Inclusive Computer-Based Written Examination Access with Special Assistance and Technology for Students with Disabilities

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) showed its strong support for inclusivity by providing special assistance during the 2025 Computer-Based Written Examination for students with disabilities. Held at the Faculty of Economics’ IDB Building, UNY made sure that every student, regardless of their abilities, had the tools and support needed to take the exam comfortably and equally.

UNY Facilitates National Computer-Based Written Examination 2025 for Over 11,000 Prospective Students

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) successfully hosted the National Computer-Based Written Examination 2025 entrance exam for 11,216 prospective students across five days, from April 23 to April 28, 2025. According to Prof. Eduard Wolok, General Chair of the SNPMB Organizing Committee, a total of 860,975 participants nationwide registered for National Computer-Based Written Examination this year. Most applicants aimed for Bachelor’s programs (799,230), followed by Applied Bachelor’s (45,582), and Diploma programs (16,164).

UNY facilitates prospective students with special needs in the entrance exam

"This year, UNY facilitates 4 visually impaired participants and 20 physically challenged participants in the entrance exam," said UNY Head of Admissions Dr. Bambang Saptono. The services provided by UNY are the placement of participants with disabilities in strategic places that are easily accessible, the provision of wheelchairs, and special assistants. For the visually impaired, the test time was allocated on Thursday, May 2, in a separate room with a companion from an experienced lecturer of the Special Education study program.

Promoting quality inclusive education through Universal Design for Learning (UDL)

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) held the 1st Indonesian Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Summit 2023 at the Rectorate Main Conference Room on Friday (7/7). The summit, attended by more than 300 participants online and offline, was opened by UNY Vice Rector for Planning and Finance Prof. Lantip Diat Prasojo, representing the Rector and attended by Deputy Cultural Affairs Officer of the US Embassy Abraham Lee.

Optimization of Online Store Management for the women of Imogiri Bantul

The COVID-19 pandemic has created a need for more massive digital marketing. This problem prompted the UNY Community Service Team to hold digital marketing training for women in Imogiri, Bantul, from 23 to 29 May 2022. There are three stages of activities. In the first stage, the team assisted participants in making online shop logos. Then, the participants received optimization training and offline assistance. In the end, training participants receive advanced assistance.
