Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) has once again recorded an outstanding achievement at the international level by securing Fully Accredited status from ACQUIN (Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute) for 17 study programs across seven clusters. This achievement reflects UNY’s concrete dedication to developing a culture of quality and strengthening its position in higher education at the international level. The 17 study programs that received international accreditation come from the Faculty of Education (FIP), the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), the Faculty of Psychology (FP), and the Graduate School (SPs).

The study programs awarded Fully Accredited status include several programs from the Faculty of Education (FIP), namely the Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral Programs in Educational Management; the Bachelor’s and Master’s Programs in Education Policy; the Bachelor’s Program in Educational Technology; the Master’s Program in Learning Technology; the Master’s Program in Guidance and Counseling; and the Bachelor’s Program in Nonformal Education. ACQUIN international accreditation was also awarded to programs at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), including the Bachelor’s and Master’s Programs in History Education, as well as the Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral Programs in Pancasila and Civic Education. Meanwhile, the Graduate School (SPs) received ACQUIN international accreditation for the Doctoral Program in Educational Science. The Faculty of Psychology (FP) also secured accreditation for the Bachelor’s and Master’s Programs in Psychology.

International accreditation serves as global recognition of the implementation of the three pillars of higher education in advancing institutional quality at UNY. The achievement is also an important strategy in supporting performance indicator targets and Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 on Quality Education. This achievement is the result of the continuous efforts of the entire UNY academic community in preparing for the international accreditation process, from document preparation and assessment implementation to the fulfillment of quality standards set by ACQUIN. The Fully Accredited status confirms that the participating study programs have met international quality criteria in the implementation of higher education. On this occasion, UNY’s Directorate of Quality Assurance expressed its highest appreciation and gratitude to the university leadership for their direction, support, commitment, and facilitation throughout the preparation and implementation process of the ACQUIN international accreditation.
