Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) held the signing of Performance Agreements (PK) between the Rector and heads of work units, along with a PK Cascading Workshop for the completion of Employee Performance Targets (SKP), at Hotel UNY on Thursday, March 12, 2026.

The activity was part of UNY’s efforts to strengthen its performance management system and align organizational targets down to the individual level across the university.

The performance agreements were signed by heads of work units with UNY Rector Prof. Sumaryanto as a form of commitment to supporting the achievement of the university’s performance targets. The agreements serve as an important instrument to ensure that each work unit contributes measurably to the institution’s strategic objectives.

In addition to the signing ceremony, the event featured a presentation by the Vice Rector for Human Resources and Legal Affairs, Prof. Siswanto, on policies related to employee performance targets and performance assessment. He explained the direction of employee performance management at UNY, including the mechanism for completing Employee Performance Targets (SKP) in alignment with organizational targets and work unit performance agreements.

The next session featured UNY Director of Planning and Development, Prof. Heri Retnawati, who delivered material on the cascading of performance agreements. She explained that performance agreements are derived from the university’s performance commitments and need to be systematically translated down to the work unit and individual levels.

According to Heri Retnawati, the performance cascading process is essential to ensure that the university’s strategic objectives can be clearly translated into work unit programs and individual employee duties. In this way, each employee has a measurable contribution to the achievement of organizational goals.

The event also included a presentation by Expert Staff for Human Resources, Prof. Yoppi Wahyu Purnomo, titled “Work Unit Performance Achievement and Employee Performance Targets.” The session explained the link between work unit performance achievements and individual employee performance, so that the completion of SKP is expected to reflect each employee’s concrete contribution to organizational target achievement.

The PK Cascading Workshop also provided technical guidance for heads of work units on aligning unit performance indicators with Employee Performance Targets. With SKP aligned with work unit performance agreements, the monitoring and evaluation of performance are expected to run more effectively.

Through this activity, UNY seeks to strengthen accountable, transparent, and results-oriented organizational governance. The signing of performance agreements and the PK Cascading Workshop are expected to enhance the commitment and synergy of all work units in achieving the university’s performance targets.

The activity also supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 on Quality Education and SDG 16 on Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, through the strengthening of effective and accountable governance in educational institutions.
