Athi' Nur Auliati Rahmah, a Physics Education student, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UNY, is an Alumni of the Teaching Campus Program Batch 1 of 2021. Athi' has completed her service at SDN Guluk-Guluk II, Guluk-Guluk District, Sumenep Regency, Madura, East Java. Her experience in teaching in Madura provides inspiration on how to promote quality education in remote areas. Not surprisingly, Athi' was invited as a speaker at the Kampus Merdeka Roadshow Episode 1 with Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya.

The high mortality rate of catfish does not only cause economic losses for catfish farmers. It also causes environmental pollution in the form of odors and without proper care, it may also decrease water quality of nearby river.

Yogyakarta is rich with culture-based creative industries. It is common for various pottery products to be developed with classic designs and coloring motifs. This is what attracted Arif Purwantara, a student of the Craft Education study program, Faculty of Language and Arts, UNY, to research more about the form, function and finishing aspects of traditional piggy banks from the Senthong Kiwo Kasongan Ceramic Industry, Bantul, which is managed by Bambang Utoyo.

UNY always encourages students to not only excel academically, but also to have the awareness to answer challenges to ecosystem and environmental problems.  This point has continuously implemented in various student activities and competitions. The latest achievement came   from the success of the UNY student team who won the Silver Medal at the 2021 International Invention Competition for Young Moslem Scientists (IICYMS) for the environmental science category.

There are still many parents or teachers, especially teachers of Physical Education subjects who do not realize that sports activities should not only focus on physical development but must also work on other aspects namely psychological, social, and spiritual.

The 2021 UNY Young  Dalang X Festival which has been taking place from Tuesday, June 8 to Saturday, June 12 at the Ki Nartosabdo Building, Faculty of Language and Arts (FBS) UNY has succeeded in presenting child puppeteers who are quite skilled in playing a series of puppets and amaze thousands of audiences who watched online through the YouTube Humas 2020 FBS UNY channel. Although most of  the participants could be said to be extraordinary, the Jury had to choose 6 puppeteers as winners out of a total of 32 participants.

To boost inclusive and sustainable economic growth, the Government of Madiun City agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). The signing ceremony was held in the main courtroom of the rectorate, on Friday (11/6). The Mayor of Madiun and his staff were met directly by the Rector of UNY. The delegation from Madiun was led directly by the Mayor, accompanied by the Deputy Mayor, and several members of the Forkopimda.

Drowsiness is the second highest accident factor after carelessness. This is what inspired UNY students to design a driving safety pillow as an effort to minimize accidents caused by drowsiness. They are Suryadi (Automotive Engineering Education), Ikhwanudin (Electrical Engineering Education), Riani Fatimah (Clothing Engineering Education) and Aulia Avi Basuki (Accounting).

Elementary-School Teacher Education Study Program and Primary Education Study Program of Faculty of Education UNY organized an Online National Seminar with the theme The Role of Primary Education for National Awakening: Various Perspectives in Digital Era Innovation, Wednesday, 2 June 2021, held offline and online using Zoom Meeting and Live Youtube FIP UNY Official Channel. There are three speakers, namely Dr. Idam Ragil Widianto Atmojo, S.Pd., M.Sc. (Universitas Sebelas Maret University), Dr. Zubaidah Amir MZ, M.Pd. (UIN Suska Riau), and Dr. Aprilia Tina Lidyasari, M.Pd.

"Indonesia's development must start from the village and the main focus is on improving the quality of human resources and economic development of village," said the Minister of Villages of PDTT, Drs A. Halim Iskandar, M.Pd. some time ago when he was awarded an Honoris Causa Doctorate at UNY.
