UNY strengthens education quality commitment with 15 new professors

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) officially inaugurated 15 professors on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the Performance Hall of the Faculty of Language Arts and Culture UNY. The new professors come from 5 faculties: the Faculty of Education and Psychology, the Faculty of Language Arts and Culture, the Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences, the Faculty of Engineering, and the Faculty of Economics and Business.

Opening of Thai Language Course Program in Cooperation between the French Education Study Program of UNY and the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Maejo University, Thailand

The Thai Language Course Program officially opened on Tuesday (04/04/2023). This program is a collaboration between the French Education Study Program of UNY and the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Maejo University, Thailand. The meeting was held online with the host  Herman, M.Pd, followed by students participating in the Thai Class, lecturers of the French Language Education Study Program, and Ajarn (Lecturers) from the Faculty of Liberal Arts Maejo Univ Thailand.

UNY Strengthens Collaboration Opportunities with Partner Universities in Malaysia

IKIP Yogyakarta was part of the Faculty of Pedagogics UGM, established in 1955 and transforms into Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta in 1999. In 2022 UNY's achievements in the QS World University Ranking by Subject were ranked 301-350 in the world, number 2 in Indonesia, as a capital step towards a World Class University. For this reason, it is necessary to initiate and accelerate cooperation with the Top 100 and Non-Top 100 QS WUR, industry, multinational companies, organizations, start-up companies, the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI), and Indonesian Schools Abroad (SILN).

Undergraduate Student of Electrical Engineering FT UNY Receives Exchange Student Scholarship to Asia University, Taiwan, for six months

One of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) students, Ahzami Fadilah Akbar (Electrical Engineering Department),  became the only delegate from Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta who got the opportunity to study at Asia University through the "2023 Spring Exchange Program Asia University, Taiwan" program.

IKA UNY Webinar: Becoming A Professional Teacher Through Preservice Teacher Professional Education

The Central Executive Board of the Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta Alumni Association (DPP IKA UNY) on Saturday, March 25, 2023, held a Webinar with the theme " Becoming A Professional Teacher Through Pre-service Teacher Professional Education ".
This event was attended by UNY leaders, namely the Vice-Rector for Planning and Finance (Prof. Lantip Diat Prasojo, M.Pd) representing the UNY Rector, Chairman of DPP IKA UNY (Prof. Suyanto, Ph.D) Deans and Deputy Deans, Directors, Regional Management Council (DPD) and Branch Management Council (DPC) IKA UNY and all IKA UNY members.

Sports Professor from University of Seville, Spain Shares Knowledge with UNY Students

Students of the Department of Sport Science and the Department of Sport Education UNY had the opportunity to learn directly with two Sports Professors from the University of Seville, Spain. In the first session, Prof. Luis Carrasco Paez, Ph.D. gave a lecture on "Sports Physiology". For the second session, Prof. Francis Ries, Ph.D. gave a lecture on "Physical Education for Elementary and Secondary Teachers".

Michigan State University Visit to Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta

A delegation from Michigan State University (MSU) visited Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) on Friday (24/3). This activity was carried out to establish cooperation in various fields. The MSU delegation consisted of The Office of International Studies in Education as Curriculum Coordinator with the Global Education Engagement Program Samantha Caughlan, Ph.D, The head of Chinese Teacher Certification Program Nancy Romig, Ph.D, the Director of the MSU Teacher Preparation Program Gail Richmond, Ph.D and the Coordinator of Global Education Cohort Alyssa Morley, Ph.D.
