Three Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNY students can participate in the international student mobility program for one semester. Mediana Ramadhani (Biology study program) was accepted at the University of Szeged, Hungary; B Narayani (Chemistry study program) to the University of Galway, Ireland, and Dayu Arinda (Chemistry study program) will study at Maastricht University Netherlands.

One way to improve the quality of math learning is by using technology. As a free, dynamic, and interactive mathematics application program, GeoGebra can support mathematics learning in schools. "GeoGebra was developed by Markus Hohenwarter in 2001. According to Hohenwarter and Fuchs, GeoGebra is very useful as a medium for learning mathematics," said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hutkemri Zulnaidi from the Department of Mathematics and Science, Universiti Malaya.

The Department of Civic Education of Yogyakarta State University (UNY) celebrated its 60th anniversary by holding a seminar titled "Transformation and Actualization of Civics Education in the Era of Society 5.0". Through this theme, the Department of Civic Education of UNY sees the need for the readiness of the world of education in facing the era of society 5.0. Through this seminar, lecturers, students, and alums can examine the important role of civic education in responding to the increasingly complex challenges of social and national life.

Onten Purbasari, a student with a deaf disability, successfully defended her thesis entitled Learning of Fine Arts and Characteristics of Fine Art Works of Deaf Students of SLB Ma'arif Muntilan in front of the final examination examiners on June 14, 2023. Sari, her nickname, is a student of the Fine Arts Education Study Program, Faculty of Language, Arts and Culture UNY class of 2019.

"Lectures nowadays are not only face-to-face because we also provide opportunities for students to do off-campus activities as an implementation of independent campus learning," said Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs of UNY, Prof. Siswantoyo. Regarding Bangka Belitung Province, UNY currently has many alumni from this province. UNY oversees the assignment of scholarship students from Bangka Belitung, and the results of their learning can be seen in the track record submitted to the delegation from the provincial government.

There are still many schools in Indonesia that are not fully willing to accept children with special needs and implement inclusive education due to a lack of understanding of disability issues. This is the money of the UNY student team consisting of Hanifah Mar'atush Shalihah (Mathematics Education), Yunita Ambarwati (Special Education i), and Asma' Khoirunnisa' (Statistics) who are members of the Sembagi Arutala team.

Automotive is mainly perceived as a men's world. But that does not deter Priti from studying in the Automotive Engineering Education program at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). "I like to see my father working in the workshop. The first experience that I remember was when I was in elementary school. I could repair bicycle chains, both my own and my friends. Repairing motorcycle tires is an activity I often do," she said.  Since then, Priti often helps her father when customizing Harley Davidson or repairing cars.

In poverty alleviation, the first thing to change is the mindset. The growth mindset-based development program is intended for training of trainers while for students there is a growth mindset development program. In accordance with the main task of UNY, the acceleration of human resource development through education, acceleration of research innovation through research and acceleration of community development through community service are developed. This was said by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Cooperation of UNY, Prof.

"The number of Indonesian pilgrims aged 60 years and over reaches 25.31%. For these elderly pilgrims, if the departure is not well prepared, there will be various risks of health problems," said Prof. Dr. Yudik Prasetyo, M.Kes. As in the previous year, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta(UNY) hosted the Computer-Based Admission Examination for National Test-Based Selection in 2023.  This exam is a national selection pathway for prospective students who are interested in continuing their education at state universities in Indonesia. UNY provides quite a lot of spare computers to anticipate the possibility of computer problems. In addition, to avoid cheating, UNY takes several steps, namely synchronizing data, preparing security in collaboration with the police, and using metal detectors.
