Quality Education

The Thai Language Course Program officially opened on Tuesday (04/04/2023). This program is a collaboration between the French Education Study Program of UNY and the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Maejo University, Thailand. The meeting was held online with the host  Herman, M.Pd, followed by students participating in the Thai Class, lecturers of the French Language Education Study Program, and Ajarn (Lecturers) from the Faculty of Liberal Arts Maejo Univ Thailand.

IKIP Yogyakarta was part of the Faculty of Pedagogics UGM, established in 1955 and transforms into Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta in 1999. In 2022 UNY's achievements in the QS World University Ranking by Subject were ranked 301-350 in the world, number 2 in Indonesia, as a capital step towards a World Class University. For this reason, it is necessary to initiate and accelerate cooperation with the Top 100 and Non-Top 100 QS WUR, industry, multinational companies, organizations, start-up companies, the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI), and Indonesian Schools Abroad (SILN).

The Central Executive Board of the Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta Alumni Association (DPP IKA UNY) on Saturday, March 25, 2023, held a Webinar with the theme " Becoming A Professional Teacher Through Pre-service Teacher Professional Education ".
This event was attended by UNY leaders, namely the Vice-Rector for Planning and Finance (Prof. Lantip Diat Prasojo, M.Pd) representing the UNY Rector, Chairman of DPP IKA UNY (Prof. Suyanto, Ph.D) Deans and Deputy Deans, Directors, Regional Management Council (DPD) and Branch Management Council (DPC) IKA UNY and all IKA UNY members.

Students of the Department of Sport Science and the Department of Sport Education UNY had the opportunity to learn directly with two Sports Professors from the University of Seville, Spain. In the first session, Prof. Luis Carrasco Paez, Ph.D. gave a lecture on "Sports Physiology". For the second session, Prof. Francis Ries, Ph.D. gave a lecture on "Physical Education for Elementary and Secondary Teachers".

A delegation from Michigan State University (MSU) visited Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) on Friday (24/3). This activity was carried out to establish cooperation in various fields. The MSU delegation consisted of The Office of International Studies in Education as Curriculum Coordinator with the Global Education Engagement Program Samantha Caughlan, Ph.D, The head of Chinese Teacher Certification Program Nancy Romig, Ph.D, the Director of the MSU Teacher Preparation Program Gail Richmond, Ph.D and the Coordinator of Global Education Cohort Alyssa Morley, Ph.D.

The Faculty of Education and Psychological Sciences, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), in collaboration with the Directorate of General Transfer, Directorate General of Fiscal Balance, Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia (DTU DJPK Kemenkeu RI), held Training on Management and Utilization of Village Potential (Village Heads Enter Campus) in 2023, Wednesday, (15/03), in the 3rd Floor Hall Room of the Integrated Laboratory of FIPP UNY and the 3rd Floor Hall Room of Muh. Amin SPS Building FIPP UNY.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) has established a partnership with PT Nihon Seiki Indonesia (NSI), with a visit to the NSI headquarters in Delta Silicon Industrial Park Lippo Cikarang, Bekasi. UNY sent the Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Siswantoyo, accompanied by the Secretary of the Academic Affairs, Student Affairs and Alumni Directorate, Kristiyono, MH, the Head of Student Welfare Division, Supriyono, S.IP, the Executive Staff of the Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) collaborated with the Asmat Regency Government and Musamus University to organize an advanced human resources education program for 199 students, consisting of 148 undergraduate students and 51 magister students. From Saturday to Monday (11-13/3), offline lectures and acceleration assistance for final assignments were held.

FIKK UNY received a visit from two sports professors from the University of Seville, Spain, as part of a sports development cooperation agenda sponsored by Erasmus. Professor Francis Ries, Ph.D. and Professor Luis Carrasco Paez, Ph.D. served as guest lecturers at the Department of Physical Education (POR) and the Department of Physical Science (IK), and in the academic cooperation development agenda from 8 - 15 March 2023.
