Ega Ayu Wulandari successfully answered the challenges of university life amid financial limitations

Ega Ayu Wulandari brought a smile of happiness to her parents, Sumaryanto and Peni Lestari. Ega successfully graduated from UNY's Indonesian Language and Literature Education study program with a GPA of 3.78.

"My parents' income, which is only enough to fulfill their daily needs, made me hesitate to go to college," said Ega.

"But fortunately, there is a KIP-College scholarship that can help my daughter's tuition fees. I am happy that Ega can finally study at UNY," said Sumaryanto, Ega's father.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) held an undergraduate graduation ceremony for the Bojonegoro Regency Village RPL Program on Sunday (17/9) at the Performance Hall of UNY's Faculty of Language, Arts and Culture. Three hundred eighty-four village officials attended the undergraduate graduation with details of 16 people from the Faculty of Education and Psychology, 186 from the Faculty of Social, Law and Political Sciences, and 182 from the Faculty of Economics and Business.

The spirit of spreading benefits to others

"I am excited to be active as a student because I have a strong desire to continue to spread benefits to others. The knowledge I learn on campus is a gift from Allah SWT that I must share with anyone in need," said Taufik Hidayat, one of UNY's undergraduate graduates who successfully graduated with a GPA of 3.96.

ASSOY Gymnastics Training Model for Covid-19 Survivors

The Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia has been ongoing since early 2020, caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 19 (SARS-CoV-2). By 2023, there were more than 61 million confirmed cases in Southeast Asia; by May 2023, around 767 million people worldwide were infected. As of May 31, Indonesia has reported more than 6.8 million positive cases of Covid-19, with a death toll of around 161 thousand. However, the number of Covid-19 survivors is also quite large. As many as 87.4% of survivors still feel persistent symptoms, including chronic fatigue and shortness of breath.

Measuring Students' Multiple Intelligent (MI) in Basketball Games

Nurul Huda considers that there is still no specific instrument to measure students' Multiple Intelligences (MI) in basketball games and optimize intelligence in winning competitions. As a former athlete, this encouraged her to start research on Multiple Intelligent (MI) with her dissertation entitled "Development of Multiple Intelligence-Based Basketball Game Assessment Model in High School." Nurul believes that this research is very useful for PE teachers. Similar tests do not exist at home and abroad, and basketball games have no MI.

UNY students participate in international student mobility in Hungary, Ireland, and the Netherlands

Three Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNY students can participate in the international student mobility program for one semester. Mediana Ramadhani (Biology study program) was accepted at the University of Szeged, Hungary; B Narayani (Chemistry study program) to the University of Galway, Ireland, and Dayu Arinda (Chemistry study program) will study at Maastricht University Netherlands.

Deaf Student Successfully Passes Thesis Examination in Fine Arts Education Study Program

Onten Purbasari, a student with a deaf disability, successfully defended her thesis entitled Learning of Fine Arts and Characteristics of Fine Art Works of Deaf Students of SLB Ma'arif Muntilan in front of the final examination examiners on June 14, 2023. Sari, her nickname, is a student of the Fine Arts Education Study Program, Faculty of Language, Arts and Culture UNY class of 2019.

Starting from fixing a bicycle chain, Priti successfully graduated from the Automotive Engineering Education Department of UNY

Automotive is mainly perceived as a men's world. But that does not deter Priti from studying in the Automotive Engineering Education program at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). "I like to see my father working in the workshop. The first experience that I remember was when I was in elementary school. I could repair bicycle chains, both my own and my friends. Repairing motorcycle tires is an activity I often do," she said.  Since then, Priti often helps her father when customizing Harley Davidson or repairing cars.
