40 Booths of Countries and Regions Hit YSU Sport Stadium

International Day Festival is a series of the 8th Global Culture Festival that took place in YSU sport stadium. There were at least 30 countries and regions in Indonesia that participated in this agenda. Located in YSU Sport Stadium, approximately 40 booths were provided by the Committee to support this event. Each booth was decorated and adorned with knick knacks of countries or regions respectively, as well as a variety of information related to geographic, cultural aspects, and tourism which can be accessed by visitors.

150 Foreign and Local Students Enliven International Night Festival

Organized at Auditorium of Yogyakarta State University (YSU), International Night Festival on Tuesday, 10 November 2015 lighten the atmosphere. This agenda is part of the 8th Global Culture Festival hosted by the Office of International Affairs and Partnerships, YSU. More than 600 visitors burst into the room. The event presented a drama entitled “Playing under the Moonlight” by international students. As the drama was running, several other local and international culture performances intervened.

Presentation of Study and Scholarship at the University of Technology Malaysia

Housed in the Graduate School Building 3rd Floor YSU, the University of Technology Malaysia (UTM) carried out presentation of studies and scholarships at University of Technology Malaysia (9/11/2015). Coming as the facilitators of the presentation were Dr. Mahani Mokhtar, Dr. Norashykin Mohn Zaid, and En. Mohd Ali bin Ibrahim from Department of Educational Foundation, Faculty of Education, UTM. The event gained widespread acceptance. More than 100 students attended the event.

UTM Students and YSU Students Collaborate in Community Service

Sunday, 08 November 2015, 13 students and 2 supervising lecturers of UTM (University Teknologi Malaysia/ University of Technology Malaysia) visited YSU and were welcomed by representatives of the Office of International Affairs and Partnerships and LPPM. The visit is aimed at making cooperation in student community service.

Cooperation between YSU Lecturer and Utrecht University and The Hoogeschool Voor De Kunsten Utrecht, The Netherlands

Dr. Kun Setyaning Astuti, M.Pd. and Dr. Agus Widyantoro, M.Pd were recently conducting research aimed at developing a model of integrated thematic music learning in collaboration with a research team of Prof. Theo Wubbels from Utrecht University and Karin Hoogeveen from Hoogeschool Voor De Kunsten Utrecht (musics, theatre, and visual art) of the Netherlands that are more experienced in developing integrated, thematic learning model in the recent years.

UNMUS Lecturer Training at YSU

On June 2 to November 4, 2015, lecturers of the University of Musamus (UNMUS) attended Training on Lecturer Certification Management at the Yogyakarta State University (YSU).

Implementing this activity was the team of LPPMP from Cooperation Division. The participants from the UNMUS consistsed of Yenni P. Pasaribu, S.T., M.Si., Ni Luh Sri Suryaningsih, S.P., M.Sc., Reinyelda D. Latuheru, S.T., M.T., Fransiskus X. Manggau, S.Kom., M.T., and Dirwan Muchlis , S.Pt.,MP.

Presentation of Study and Scholarship in Sweden by Bright Indonesia

On Wednesday (4/11/2015), the Office of International Affairs and Partnerships (OIAP), YSU had the honor to organize Study and Scholarship Presentation in Sweden. Presented by Bright Indonesia and housed in the YSU Graduate School building, this event run smoothly. Lusi Nurhayati, S. Pd., M.Appl.Ling (TESOL) as the Secretary of the Foreign Partnership OIAP delivered opening remarks while at the same time encouraging the participants to actively seek for scholarship information, especially scholarship in the foreign universities.
