Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta's Swara Wadhana Student Choir won the Grand Prix Winner in the 13th International Choral Festival Orientale Concentus competition. This international choral competition occurred in Singapore from July 1 to 3, 2023.
Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) provides an opportunity for children and teenagers aged 4-18 years old to fill their vacation period to learn English in a fun way through English for Holidays (EFH). Rosemery Robot won second place in the 2023 National Level Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI) at the Indonesian Dance Robot Contest (KRSTI) held offline on June 22-25, 2023, at the Universitas Semarang (USM). KRI was attended by 191 universities, with 393 teams divided into 7 categories.

Mediana Ramadhani (Biology study program) was accepted at the University of Szeged, Hungary; B Narayani (Chemistry study program) to the University of Galway, Ireland, and Dayu Arinda (Chemistry study program) will study at Maastricht University Netherlands.
Coconuts found in Indonesia provide many benefits. Coconuts, used for various purposes, including making oil, can also be used as aromatherapy candles made from coconut oil. This product is what UNY Vocational students did in Bojong 3 Panjatan Kulonprogo. They are Reza Al-Faruqi, Citra Ramadhani, Wina Nurlita Putri, Elva Khusna, Agista Adfah Pramesti, Qanita Diza Astuti, Hanamel Ananta, Anggie Lusiana Devi and Nadia Syalwa.
One way to improve the quality of math learning is by using technology. As a free, dynamic, and interactive mathematics application program, GeoGebra can support mathematics learning in schools. "GeoGebra was developed by Markus Hohenwarter in 2001. According to Hohenwarter and Fuchs, GeoGebra is very useful as a medium for learning mathematics," said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hutkemri Zulnaidi from the Department of Mathematics and Science, Universiti Malaya.

Onten Purbasari, a student with a deaf disability, successfully defended her thesis entitled Learning of Fine Arts and Characteristics of Fine Art Works of Deaf Students of SLB Ma'arif Muntilan in front of the final examination examiners on June 14, 2023. Sari, her nickname, is a student of the Fine Arts Education Study Program, Faculty of Language, Arts and Culture UNY class of 2019.
"The number of UNY retirees is 903 people consisting of 374 lecturers and 529 staff members," said the UNY Retirees Association (IKAPEN) chairman, Dr. Sardiman. With many members, IKAPEN seeks to create work programs that support improving the quality of life of retirees. So far, IKAPEN has carried out workshops and health tests, gymnastics, recreational tours once a year, social services, karawitan exercises, talent search events for older adults, and visits to seniors.
