Swara Wadhana UNY Student Choir becomes Champion in the 13th International Choral Festival Orientale Concentus Singapore competition

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta's Swara Wadhana Student Choir won the Grand Prix Winner in the 13th International Choral Festival Orientale Concentus competition. This international choral competition occurred in Singapore from July 1 to 3, 2023.

Learning and Having Fun with English for Holidays

UNY students participate in international student mobility in Hungary, Ireland, and the Netherlands

Three Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNY students can participate in the international student mobility program for one semester. Mediana Ramadhani (Biology study program) was accepted at the University of Szeged, Hungary; B Narayani (Chemistry study program) to the University of Galway, Ireland, and Dayu Arinda (Chemistry study program) will study at Maastricht University Netherlands.

Improving the Quality of Mathematics Learning Using Geogebra

One way to improve the quality of math learning is by using technology. As a free, dynamic, and interactive mathematics application program, GeoGebra can support mathematics learning in schools. "GeoGebra was developed by Markus Hohenwarter in 2001. According to Hohenwarter and Fuchs, GeoGebra is very useful as a medium for learning mathematics," said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hutkemri Zulnaidi from the Department of Mathematics and Science, Universiti Malaya.

Deaf Student Successfully Passes Thesis Examination in Fine Arts Education Study Program

Onten Purbasari, a student with a deaf disability, successfully defended her thesis entitled Learning of Fine Arts and Characteristics of Fine Art Works of Deaf Students of SLB Ma'arif Muntilan in front of the final examination examiners on June 14, 2023. Sari, her nickname, is a student of the Fine Arts Education Study Program, Faculty of Language, Arts and Culture UNY class of 2019.

UNY and Bangka Belitung Province Evaluate Students under the Partnership Scheme

UNY Students Promote Inclusive Learning through Posters

There are still many schools in Indonesia that are not fully willing to accept children with special needs and implement inclusive education due to a lack of understanding of disability issues. Starting from fixing a bicycle chain, Priti successfully graduated from the Automotive Engineering Education Department of UNY

Automotive is mainly perceived as a men's world. But that does not deter Priti from studying in the Automotive Engineering Education program at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). "I like to see my father working in the workshop. The first experience that I remember was when I was in elementary school. I could repair bicycle chains, both my own and my friends. Repairing motorcycle tires is an activity I often do," she said.  Since then, Priti often helps her father when customizing Harley Davidson or repairing cars.
