SDG #17 Partnerships for the Goals

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) has once again strengthened its international presence. Lecturer of the Doctoral Program in Arts Education, Faculty of Languages, Arts, and Culture (FBSB) UNY, Prof. Dr. Kun Setyaning Astuti, M.Pd., was invited as a guest lecturer in the Summer School: Effective Teaching for the Future (SumSet) program organized by the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, one of the world’s top 100 universities.

The Maestro-Evo Robotics Team of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) has once again demonstrated its standing as one of Indonesia’s leading student robotics teams. At the 2026 National ABU Indonesia Robot Contest (KRAI), held at the University of Jember from July 9 to 12, 2026, the team secured second place nationally and won the Best Strategy award, in recognition of the best strategy applied throughout the competition.

The Community Service Program (PKM) team from the Department of Sociology Education, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (FISIP UNY), carried out a series of international collaborative activities in Malaysia. The program was part of an initiative under a long-standing partnership with the Faculty of Human Development, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Malaysia.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) has reaffirmed its commitment to internationalizing the Indonesian language through an overseas Community Service Program (PkM). The UNY PkM team held a program titled “Vocabulary Training through Traditional Games for BIPA Learners at USSH and HANU, Vietnam” at two partner universities, namely the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH) and Hanoi University (HANU), Vietnam.

Five students from Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) initiated a literacy-based community service innovation to address issues related to children’s character education in Trimulyo Subdistrict, Genuk District, Semarang City. Through the Student Creativity Program in Community Service (PKM-PM) titled Pelita Aksara Pelangi Anak, they seek to build children’s character through a creative and enjoyable literary approach.
