For people with visual and hearing impairments, the variety of learning and media used differs from ordinary people. The paradigm can be student-centered or with cognitive, affective, psychomotor, visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learning styles. Lecturers and students are the leading presenters in physical and virtual synchronous learning. In contrast, in asynchronous learning, the computer is the main conveyer where class management uses the Learning Management System (LMS) software. This notion was conveyed by a lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, Dr.
Art is the pinnacle of culture, which reflects civilization in which it contains values that a nation upholds. Indonesia's ancestors were a nation that was intelligent in inheriting moral values through art. Almost all research studies show that Indonesian traditional arts, including music, contain values and philosophies that community members firmly hold. It's a shame that the inheritance of traditional arts in this decade has decreased compared to the previous period, especially in the 1980s. At that time, the children were very familiar with traditional music.
To expand the cooperation network, Prof. Sumaryanto, as Rector of UNY, was accompanied by Vice-Rector for Planning and Cooperation, Prof. Siswantoyo. His entourage recently opened the door for cooperation in the African region. The collaboration was carried out with the University of Burundi, in Bujumbura City. The University of Burundi, established in 1964, is a public university in a country that has recently been free from war and civil conflict for approximately 70 years. Soldiers and police officers always carry rifles in every corner of the city.
UNY is committed to opening access to quality education for prospective Indonesian students and prospective international students from low or lower-middle-income countries. Japhet Ndayisenga from Burundi is one such example.
