Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) mourns the loss of Prof. Dr. Sri Winarni, M.Pd., who passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at 09:17 PM at Sardjito Hospital at the age of 55. Known for her dedication to advancing physical education and public health, she served as a pillar in the Faculty of Sports and Health Sciences (FIKK). Her work on differentiated learning in physical education became a national reference and inspired many educators through publications and community service.

On Monday, June 16, 2025, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) officially appointed 139 lecturers as Civil Servants (PNS) during a formal ceremony held in the university's Main Assembly Hall.
