MONITORING AND EVALUATION OF TWIN PROGRAM/CREDIT TRANSFER BETWEEN YSU AND MSU

Credit Transfer between Medan State University (MSU) and Yogyakarta State University will end up about seven weeks away. Therefore, MSU leaders, one of which is Vice Rector 2, Dr. Restu, M.S., had a visit to YSU for monitoring and evaluation in terms of Initial Twin Program/Credit Transfer of MSU to YSU on Wednesday (18/11/2015) housed in the Senate Courtroom, YSU.

A YSU TEAM WAS CROWNED THE 3RD POSITION IN YOUNG RESEARCH COMPETITION AND NATIONAL STUDENT PAPER COMPETITION , PSU

A team of Student Activity Unit of Research YSU has just recently grabbed prestigious achievement in national event, namely PPIPM FAIR in 2015 organized by Padang State University (PSU) on the 28th – 31st October, 2015. This is an annual event with the theme of "The Role of Students as Agents of Change in the Development of Sains, Technology, and Art in the Face of 2015 AEC". The YSU delegation successfully made resounding accomplishment, obtaining the 1st champion of Young Research Competition among the top ten delegates around Indonesia.

STUDENT VISIT IN GERMANY

On Monday (12/10/2015), several students of German Language Education had just arrived at Frankfurt am Main, Germany ; they were visiting the country as participants of Studienreise from Faculty of Languages and Arts, YSU. Joining the agenda was Sri Megawati, M.A. as the supervising lecturer.

A STUDENT OF FACULTY OF ECONOMICS YSU ACHIEVES THE BEST PAPER ON COOPERATION

Maryana, a student of Faculty of Economics YSU has recently been applaused for her writing which got Best Paper on Youth Summit on Cooperatives Entrepreneurship and Economic Democracy organized by Student Cooperation, Gadjah Mada University in Graha Sabha Pramana (24/10/2015). This is a yearly event and currently brings the theme of “Youth as the Cooperation Actor in the Face of ASEAN Ecomonic Community (AEC)”.

NATIONAL SEMINAR ON LAFRAN PANE

“It has been a long process for Himpunan Mahasiswa Islam (HMI) or Islamic Student Organization to join neutral movement along with student movement contaminated by politic matters. That is why Lafran Pane was inspired to found such an Islamic student organization. It aims to protect Republic of Indonesia, to boost community dignity and to spread Islamic insight to students” as stated by Dr. Ir. Akbar Tandjung, the former of House of Representative Chief in the National Seminar entitled “Prof. Drs. H. Lafran Pane in Indonesian History” held in YSU Main Meeting Room, Wednesday (11/11/2015).

Discussion on Management of State-owned Property between YSU and University of Mulawarman

"We charge only IDR 1 million for cleaning service, since normally students (tenants) hold an event on Saturday and Sunday, when the employees are off" Gunawan Ariyantapa, S. T. stated in his capacity as the Head of UHTP (Umum, Hukum, Tata Laksana dan Perlengkapan) of YSU. The statement was made during the discussion on Management of State-owned Property (SoP) between YSU and University of Mulawarman (UNMUL) , Samarinda on Friday (13/11/2015).

Faculty of Languages and Arts Articulates Chulalangkorn and Kasetsart Universities of Thailand

The Faculty of Languages and Arts (FLA) YSU has recently implemented an internationalization program by doing a visit to two leading universities in Thailand, namely Chulalangkorn University and Kasetsart University. This visit took place from July 6 to November 9, 2015. Four lecturers as the delegation from Faculty of Languages and Arts are Prof. Dr. Zamzani (Delegation Chairman), Herman, M. Pd (Head of Cooperation, FLA), Dra. Alice Armini, M. Hum., (Head of France Language Education Department) and Dra. Lia Malia, M. Pd (Head of German Language Education Department).

40 Booths of Countries and Regions Hit YSU Sport Stadium

International Day Festival is a series of the 8th Global Culture Festival that took place in YSU sport stadium. There were at least 30 countries and regions in Indonesia that participated in this agenda. Located in YSU Sport Stadium, approximately 40 booths were provided by the Committee to support this event. Each booth was decorated and adorned with knick knacks of countries or regions respectively, as well as a variety of information related to geographic, cultural aspects, and tourism which can be accessed by visitors.

150 Foreign and Local Students Enliven International Night Festival

Organized at Auditorium of Yogyakarta State University (YSU), International Night Festival on Tuesday, 10 November 2015 lighten the atmosphere. This agenda is part of the 8th Global Culture Festival hosted by the Office of International Affairs and Partnerships, YSU. More than 600 visitors burst into the room. The event presented a drama entitled “Playing under the Moonlight” by international students. As the drama was running, several other local and international culture performances intervened.
