UNY COLLABORATES WITH THE SLEMAN HEALTH OFFICE IN IMPLEMENTING BOOSTER VACCINATIONS

In order to prevent the transmission of the Covid-19 virus, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, in collaboration with the Sleman Health Service, carried out a booster vaccination for lecturers and education staff on Sunday, 30 January 2022. "This vaccination aims to achieve herd immunity because Covid cases have not disappeared at all. There is even a trend the case went up because there was a new variant of Omicron. Therefore, to help increase antibodies, we need a third booster vaccination,” said dr. Siti Hardiyanti from Depok III Health Center, Sleman.

PRELIMINARY MEETING ACADEMIC COOPERATION PILOT BETWEEN THE DEPARTMENT OF FINE ARTS EDUCATION OF UNY, AND YUNTECH UNIVERSITY TAIWAN

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta continues to add to its cooperation network at the national and global levels. The Department of Fine Arts Education, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, on 13/01/2022, held an online Preliminary Meeting with the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology (Yuntech). Yuntech has five colleges, the College of Engineering, College of Management, College of Design, College of Humanities and Applied Sciences, and College of Future. The Department of Fine Arts Education at UNY will collaborate with the Yuntech Visual Communication Design Department.

UNY WON THREE AWARDS AT THE 2021 DIKTIRISTEK AWARD

UNY won as the 1st Rank of  Management of Higher Education Cooperation Data for Public Service Agency, the second rank of  Management of Cooperation and Facilitation of Higher Education Cooperation Report for Public Service Agency, and first expectation rating of  Integrated Service Unit for Higher Education Public Service Agency in the 2021 Diktiristek Award which was held offline and online. The award was received by the Rector of UNY, Prof. Sumaryanto, in Jakarta, Thursday (13/1).

The role of UNY Students in alleviating poverty and social problems in East Nusa Tenggara

UNY supports students to participate in various empowerment programs that impact society. One of these supports is provided for UNY students who participate in the "Young Warrior Program" managed by the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology and the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The program attracted 5,140 students from various universities who were deployed to the community to learn about social problems up close and work to solve poverty problems in 514 districts/cities across Indonesia.

BUILDING PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN UNY AND UNISMA

On Tuesday (4/1/2022), the Rector of the Universitas Islam Malang(UNISMA), Prof. Dr. H. Maskuri, M.Sc., accompanied by the Vice-Rectors as well as the Deans and Head of the International Affairs Office, visited Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). The Rector of UNY, Prof.Dr. Sumaryanto, M.Kes together with the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Vice-Rector for General Affairs and Finance, and the Deans and several other officials, welcomed UNISMA as prospective partners.

LEARN FROM SCIENCE TECHNO PARK OF IPB

The Business Incubator, Patent, and IPR  team held a comparative study at the Science Techno Park, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) on November 30, 2021. The UNY team was represented by Prof. Siti Irene (Secretary of LPPM), Prof. Eli Rohaeti (Chairman of the UNY IPR Team), and other members. Dr. Tri Pratono received the UNY delegation at Science Techno Park of Bogor Agricultural University in the courtroom of the IPB campus.

UNY SOCIOLOGY EDUCATION STUDY PROGRAM SUPPORT VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT IN BANTUL

The Out-Campus Learning Activities Team of UNY's Sociology Education Study Program collaborated with Women Farmers Group (KWT) Sedyo Mulyo has carried out several activities in  Tulasan village, Bantul, on October 16, 2021. The team successfully organized mass gymnastics,  local product introduction, and demonstration of eco enzyme processing.  The targets for this activity are KWT members, PKK members, Posyandu cadres, Youth Organizations and children.

STRENGTHENING PEOPLE-TO-PEOPLE RELATIONS BETWEEN INDONESIA AND CHINA THROUGH MANDARIN LANGUAGE TRAINING

The Indonesian Embassy in Beijing has again entrusted Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta to carry out Mandarin language training for school principals. This training also involves the Asean China Center and BFSU (Beijing Foreign Studies University) as partners. The event runs from November 15 to December 3 online. "Political, security, economic relations can be up and down, but if people-to-people relations are strong, the returns will be very fast," said H.E. Mr. Djauhari Oratmangun, Ambassador of The Republic of Indonesia to The People's Republic of China and Mongolia.
