FLA UNY SENT STUDENTS TO AN EXCHANGE STUDY IN JAPAN

KARANGMALANG, FLA UNY - Five students from Faculty of Languages and Arts of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (FLA UNY) were sent to join the student exchange program to Aichi University of Education (AUE), Japan. The program that took place from 22 - 28 November 2017 was held as a continuation of the pioneering cooperation that has been drawn between Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) and AUE.

COOPERATION OF YSU AND UNIVERSITEIT VOOR HUMANISTIEK

As part of the development step towards World Class University, Yogyakarta State University continues to work together with universities / related institutions, major from abroad. Referring to the commitment, Yogyakarta State University signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with one of the universities from the Netherlands, Universiteit Voor Humanistiek - in the Main Senate Meeting Room on Friday (20/10/2017).

COOPERATION BETWEEN YSU FACULTY OF ENGINEERING AND NYUST TAIWAN

As part of the development step towards World Class University, Yogyakarta State University continues to work together with universities / related institutions, major from abroad. To support the university's program, the Faculty of Engineering (FT) UNY initiated a partnership with Taiwan's National Yunlin University of Science and Technology (NYUST). Cooperation focused on academic, research, and vocational education development. This partnership is marked by the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding held in the FT UNY Conference Room, by the Dean of FT UNY, Dr. Widarto, M.Pd.

YSU STUDENTS JOIN OUR ENERGY ACTIVITIES

Our Energy activities are part of a World Exchange "capacity building project involving youth from four countries. This activity also comes with training and evaluation activities for staff from six partner organizations involved in this project. Through this youth exchange, participants are expected to acquire knowledge about renewable energy, basic knowledge of electricity, look at the benefits of renewable energy and change participants' attitudes toward their energy use.

MUHAMMAD URFAN TAUFIK: 1ST WINNER OF PUBLIC SPEAKING COMPETITION 10TH NUDC (NATIONAL UNIVERSITY DEBATING CHAMPIONSHIP) 2017

Urfan, or Muhammad Urfan Taufik's , won the 1st Public Speaking Competition in the 10th National University Debating Championship (NUDC) competition. The 10th NUDC is held at PGRI University of Semarang on 3-8 September 2017. NUDC is a debate competition held annually by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. This competition was attended by more than 110 Universities throughout Indonesia, which is the best team of representatives from 14 Kopertis in Indonesia.

GARUDA UNY READY TO FACE DYNAMIC EVENT IN STUDENT FORMULA JAPAN

Last Tuesday (5/9) was the first day of Student Formula Japan (SFJ) competition. Recorded 98 teams from eight countries to register in Ecopa Stadium, Shizouka Perfecture, Japan. The teams that managed to escape immediately made preparations for the first event, namely Technical Inspection (TI). IT is an important event because the jury will conduct a direct inspection of the vehicle by checking the suitability of the vehicle with the specified regulation. Garuda UNY with FG-17 formula cars look nimble with successfully complete the IT process in one day only.

FACULTY OF SPORT SCIENCE’S STUDENTS WON GOLD MEDAL AT THE SEA GAMES 2017

Fighting in the international arena to the name of the nation is the dream of all Indonesian students. Successfully lifting Indonesia’s name in other countries, especially when the moment of independence as it is now was a special gift at the 72nd anniversary of RI. It was Prima Wisnu Wardhana, a student of Physical, Health, and Recreation Education (PJKR) UNY Faculty of Sport Science, who recently won SEA Games 2017 gold medal in Malaysia.

SIGNING OF LETTER OF INTENT BETWEEN UNY AND THE ASSOCIATION OF VISUAL ARTS TEACHERS OF KEDAH, MALAYSIA

Yogyakarta State University and the Association of Visual Arts Teachers of Kedah, Malaysia initiated the cooperation with the signing of Letter of Intent (LoI) at the LKBH Meeting Room of the University, the signing of the LoI was represented by Puan Azizah Ibrahim from SMK Tengku Seri Indera Putra and Dr. Widyastuti Purbani from the Faculty of Languages and Arts, UNY, Friday, July 28, 2017.
