TRAINING FOR PEOPLE OF JARANMATI 1 HAMLET TO RECYCLE WASTE COOKING OIL INTO SOAP
The lack of public awareness of the danger of disposing cooking oil waste directly to the ground is one of the reason for UNY students who participating in community service program in Jaranmati 1 Hamlet to held training on recycling waste cooking oil into soap. The Training on making soap from used cooking oil by students of the KKN RM UNY K027 was carried out on Sunday, July 28, 2019. There are 15 members of local youth organization and 5 housewives from Jaranmati 1 Hamlet who participated on the training.
UNY LECTURER PRESENTED BLENDED LEARNING RESEARCH AT ICEMT 2019 IN JAPAN
Information technology has boost the progress of distance education through the implementation of e-learning. Blended Learning as a learning mode that combines the benefit of e-learning with the peculiarities of face-to-face learning has been favorable learning mode. In this learning mode, students are expected to be active, creative and collaborative in order to obtain optimal benefit. Varied and challenging online activities need to be created by lecturers in implementing the BL learning.
IMPROVING COLLABORATION BETWEEN UNIVERSITY AND SCHOOL THROUGH LECTURER ASSIGNMENT TO SCHOOL PROGRAM
Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta held “Lecturer Assignment to School Program” (Penugasan Dosen di Sekolah/PDS) to strengthen and increasing collaboration between university and school. There are two schemes in PDS activities, the first in the form of PDS activities in partner schools and the second in the form of follow-up PDS results into lectures on campus. This program is a continuation of the same program as well as a mandate from the Directorate of Learning, Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education.
FARMING COUNSELING FACILITATION FOR FARMERS IN MLARAN VILLAGE
UNY students who participating in community service program in Mlaran Village held farming counseling support for local farmers. Students who facilitate this program joined the K099 students community service group. There are two farming counselors from the sub-district invited by UNY students. This program has attracted 17 farmer representatives from RW 5 and RW 4 Mlaran Village, Gebang District, Purworejo.
