Online courses have been considered as an important change in today’s education. Therefore, Yogyakarta State University collaborated with Ohio State University to held a Workshop on E-teaching in Technology Laboratory from Monday to Friday (11-15/05/2015).

 On Wednesday (May 13, 2015), the Educational Psychology and Counseling Department held a program called ‘Journal Club” that is a talk on ‘Self-Regulation’. The program was held at the laboratory I of the Counseling Department and attended by junior, sophomore and senior students. Several lecturers at the department were also present in the program.  Five students of Yogyakarta State University have been selected to join the 2nd International Young Inventor Award (IYIA) 2015 in Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Jakarta on June 6 to 10 2015. This award program is held by the Indonesia Invention and Innovation Promotion Association in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, International Federation of Inventors Association, WIIPA and a number of other official international partners. |

 The students’ collaboration between the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Education in developing “Scrabindo”, an educative game for preserving the Indonesian Culture by applying the scrabble game concept is worth the effort.  Dyah Ayu Intan, a student at the Elementary School Teacher Education Department joined the Indonesian Youth Adventure and Youth Leaders Forum from the 23rd of April to the 4th of May 2015 held by Gerakan Mari Berbagi Foundation. This foundation was founded by Azwar Hasan. This foundation empower the youth to live beyond themselves (living beyond yourself). |

 In the Call for Paper of Public Administration at Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya held on Monday-Tuesday (May 11-12, 2015) YSU delegates from the Public Administration Department at the Faculty of Social Sciences won the first prize by presenting their paper entitled Hamemayu Hayuning Bawana as an Innovation Strategy in Developing Community Based Tourism in Preparing for the ASEAN Economic Community 2015. |

 To enhance the quality of education, it is necessary to provide accesses and more opportunities in the learning process. Learning can happen not only in classroom setting but also other forums which provide opportunities to present ideas and papers as well as partners for discussion and giving feedback such as conferences. |

 YSU team from Design Build Division of the student unit for engineering technology has won the first prize for the truss design category at a national competition held by the Gadjah Mada Civil Engineering Student Association on May 10th-12th 2015 at Gadjah Mada University.
