A JOURNEY TO THE 15th ASIA TEFL CONFERENCE IN 2017

YSU - PT TELKOM SIGN COOPERATION AGREEMENT

Yogyakarta State University (YSU) and Telekomunikasi Indonesia Limited (Telkom Ltd.) agree to cooperate in supporting the development of YSU in the near future. This cooperation started with the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), in which on the behalf of YSU, was represented by Prof. Dr. Rochmat Wahab, M.Pd., M.A., the Rector of YSU, and on the side of Telkom was represented by Muhammad Awaluddin as the Director of EBIS Telkom yesterday (3/3/2016) at the West Senate Room, YSU.

YSU GRADUATES LAUNCH HALAL APP IN TAIWAN

Two graduates from Informatics Engineering Education, Yogyakarta State University (YSU) successfully developed and launched an Android-based app in Taipei to help identify halal products and services in Taiwan. They are Aris Kusumo Diantoro and Faisal Fahmi, graduated from YSU in 2013 and currently pursuing their Master degree in National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) Taiwan.

GEOGRAPHY EDUCATION GRADUATE GRANTED SCHOLARSHIP IN THE UNITED STATES

To taste the academic spirit in the United Stated is no longer merely a wish for Janu Muhammad, S.Pd, a Geography Education graduate, since he just recently grabbed the chance to attend short course in Arizona State University in Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Academic Fellowship on Civic Engagement. YSEALI took place from 20 February to 26 March 2016. This is a youth exchange program in ASEAN aiming at giving leadership training in the scope of environment, civic engagement, and entrepreneurship.

STUDENTS OF FMNS YSU TAKE SOME CREDITS AT TWO UNIVERSITIES IN THAILAND

A total of 8 students of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMNS, Yogyakarta State University (YSU) followed the credit transfer program in Thailand. There are two students of the department of Mathematics Education who study at Prince of Songkla University. While six other students study at Yala Rajabhat University. Three people are from the department of Biology, two are from the Biology Education department, and one person from the department of Physic Education.
