UJANG HARTATO, THE WINNER OF NATIONAL I BIQ IN UIN SUKA

It has been recently reported that a student of cooperation program between Education Authorities of South Sumatra and Yogyakarta State University (YSU), just grabbed a fantastic, non-academic achievement. He is Ujang Hartato, a student of Accounting Education of Faculty of Economics year 2012. He won National Bahtsu ‘Ilmi Al-Qur’an (BIQ) of Capacity Development and Tahsinul Qur’an, Faculty of Tarbiya and Teaching Sciences, Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University (UIN SUKA).

BEST PAPER OF 2015 STUDENT RESEARCHER FESTIVAL GOES TO YSU STUDENTS

Education is one of the right ways to enhance human resource development in a country. Today, learning medium is very important in delivering education because it will help improve the understanding of students by teachers; including on accounting subject. To teach accounting, one of the best learning media is education games, which began to develop these days. Through games, students could be easier to understand, remember, and apply accounting materials they gained.

YSU CHOIR SWARA WADHANA APPLAUDED FOR REMARKABLE ACHIEVEMENT THIS YEAR

On Thursday, (17/12/2015), Swara Wadhana Choir of Yogyakarta State University (YSU) organized Grand Closing Concert Symphony of Swara Wadhana with the theme “Our Melody Tales”. Held in YSU Auditorium, the concert was end-year concert of 2015 stewardship that told their journey and story in 2015. Swara Wadhana (“SW”) choir showcased Mixed Choir and Indonesian ethnic songs serenaded with piano. The rehearsal run for 3 months.

TO MONITOR STUDENT ACADEMIC PROGRESS, KARANGASEM EDUCATION AUTHORITIES VISIT UNY

I Gde Ariyasa, the head of the Office of education of Karangasem, Bali, accompanied by the Secretary of the Department, head of finance, and the staff of the Office of Karangasem just carry out visits to monitor the academic close to the shoreline and UNY student cooperation. YSU GRANTED THE HOST OF INDONESIAN RECTORS’ FORUM

“Indonesian Rector’s Forum is the biggest forum to be held in Yogyakarta, as more than 1000 rectors of universities and higher education institutions would attend the agenda”, says Prof. Rochmat Wahab, M.Pd., M.A., in Press Conference for Indonesian Rector’s Forum (IRF) held on 29 – 31 January, 2016. In front of 13 journalists from various regional and national-scaled media, he ascertained that Yogyakarta State University (YSU) is granted the Host of 2016 IRF.

PERFORMANCE AND ACHIEVEMENT OF UIAP IN 2015

To monitor and review performance of the Unit of International Affairs and Parnerships (UIAP) funtions, last Friday (11/12/2015), the Office of International Affairs and Partnerships (OIAP), Yogyakarta State University (YSU) carried out Monitoring and Evaluation on UIAP Performance, in Main Meeting Room, YSU Rectorate building. Facilitating the agenda were Prof. Suwarsih Madya, Ph.D, Dr.ing Satoto Endar Nayono, M.Eng., M.Sc., Losina Purnastuti, SE., M.Ec.Dev., Ph.D., Endah Retnowati, M.Ed., Ph.D, and Nur Insani, M.Sc.

OUTBOUND WITH YSU TUTORS AND STUDENT VOLUNTEERS

Fitri Alfarisy, S.Pd., staff person of the Office of International Affairs and Partnerships YSU addressed a question “What BIPA (Indonesian for Non-native Speakers) tutors and student volunteers really are?”. The question was part of 2nd day of “Capacity Building and Effective Communication Training For Ysu Tutors and Student Volunteers” organized in Wildlife Rescue Center Yogyakarta on 4 December 2015. As the former tutor, now he is the person in charge of BIPA in YSU.
