Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) symbolically sends off students who will participate in community service and educational practice programs. The students received assignments in various schools, institutions, and villages. "Currently, UNY sends students through various community service schemes. For general community service, we send students to 5 regencies and cities in Yogyakarta and eight regencies in Central Java. We also have community service based on student domicile that allows students to run community service in their respective hometowns, such as Jakarta.

The Indonesian Embassy in Beijing appointed Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta to host 2022 Upskilling Training for Teachers and Principals for Special Schools with partners Teacher Education Center of UNESCO Desk of the People's Republic of China and ASEAN China Center from 12 to 14 July 2022. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic Indonesia for the People's Republic of China Djauhari Oratmangun said this activity was the umpteenth time holding training with the ASEAN China Center and the first time it was held for special schools.

UNY's Early Childhood Education Laboratory held a holiday program for early childhood children from July 4 to 8, 2022. "It is possible to have school vacation as an opportunity for playing together and learning more about culture in Yogyakarta. Cassava production in Indonesia is relatively abundant. Based on the Rector Decree as of July 1, 2022, the educational structural positions in Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), which previously consisted of the Head of Section and several Heads of Sub-Sections, have now been changed to Coordinator and Coordinator Secretary. Indonesia is ranked in the top 3 as the largest fish-producing country in the world, after China and India. However, the Balitbang of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries explained that per capita fish consumption in Indonesia has only reached 25.77 kg. This figure is relatively low when compared to other countries, where one of the causes of the low consumption of fish is the price which is still relatively high. This high price is due to the lack of efficient technology and methods of freshwater fish farming currently used.
