Encouraging the Progress of MSMEs in Yogyakarta through UNY Partnership with Local Government

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) through the Applied Linguistics Study Program of the Faculty of Language, Arts and Culture (FBSB), strengthened its commitment in supporting the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). This was realized through the signing of a cooperation document between UNY and the Sleman Regency Cooperative Office of Small and Medium Enterprises, which also involved 63 MSME partners from various sectors such as food, fashion, herbs, plants, to IT startups.

UNY Fine Arts Education Students Revive Creativity and Tradition in Beji Village

Beji Village, Patuk, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta, is now filled with new enthusiasm thanks to the creative and cultural initiatives initiated by UNY Fine Arts Education students. Through the “Berbinar Kreatif (Wayang Kardus or Used Cardboard Puppet)” and “Berbinar Batik”(Batik Production) programs, the village is re-exploring local wealth while promoting environmental awareness and community economic empowerment.

Cultivating Sports as a Healthy and Fit Lifestyle

On Monday, September 9, 2024, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) celebrated the 41st National Sports Day (Haornas) with full spirit. The event, which was held in the Rectorate yard, began with mass gymnastics involving the entire UNY academic community, ranging from lecturers, education staff, to students. Haornas is an important moment to reaffirm the importance of exercise as part of a healthy and fit lifestyle. Moreover, this celebration also supports the strengthening of the national sports system as a whole.

Encouraging Sustainable Innovation and Development of Flying Robot Technology through KRTI 202

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) is ready to host the 2024 Indonesian Flying Robot Contest (KRTI), which will be held on September 12-18, 2024. Taking place at the Faculty of Vocational Studies Gunungkidul Campus and Gading Airfield, Playen, this prestigious event is expected to be a stage to showcase students' best innovations in the development of flying robot technology. Collaborating with TNI-AU to provide airfield facilities, UNY is committed to presenting a competition that will spur creativity and research in the field of aerial robotics.

Encouraging startups through Pertamuda 2024 program

The Student Affairs Division of UNY on Wednesday (4/9/2024) in the Main Session Room of the UNY Senate received a visit from PT Pertamina consisting of 3 people, namely Ms. Amelia, Ms. Dorothea, and Mr. Prasetyo. The purpose of the visit from Pertamina this time was to socialize the Pertamuda 2024 program: the largest student Business Idea Competition for startup startups.

Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) Singapore students learn Indonesian culture at UNY

The Overseas Education and Learning Program (OELP) from Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) Singapore allowed students to learn about Indonesian culture, including gamelan and batik at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) on Wednesday (4/9). Previously, they also visited Prambanan Temple.

Strengthening Partnership Synergy with Industry

Higher education needs to improve synergies with industry. This cannot be separated from the fact that the problems that arise in the industry are actually very numerous and can become research material. To build good and mutually beneficial synergies, it is necessary to change the mindset of lecturers so that they can understand the work culture of the industry and at the same time open up opportunities for lecturers to carry out activities in the industry. This event aims to provide information to new students about various campus organizations and services.

Introducing Student Organization to UNY New Students

 

To Introduce Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) activity, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta  held an achievement exhibition in which there was a display of Student Activity Units (UKM). This achievement exhibition was held at GOR UNY on Wednesday (07/08/2024) and was attended by 42 UKM in the fields of reasoning, sports, arts, and welfare / specialty. This achievement exhibition aims to introduce UNY student organization activities, profiles, latest achievements, and new member registration procedures that are attractively packaged.
