The 2024 Indonesian Flying Robot Contest (KRTI) at Gading Flying Field, Playen, Gunungkidul, saw fierce competition in the Racing Plane Division, which is considered one of the most prestigious divisions. This division challenges participants to design and fly a fixed-wing flying vehicle with high speed, while still prioritizing efficiency in construction design and energy consumption. This year, the theme was FAT (Fast And on Track), emphasizing the importance of speed and precision on the track.

Gading Flying Field, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta, became the center of attention when the 2024 Indonesian Flying Robot Contest (KRTI) entered its fourth day on September 16, 2024. One of the most anticipated moments in this prestigious event was the Racing Plane Division, which featured fierce competition among 24 of the best universities in Indonesia. Participants compete to create an aircraft that is not only fast, but also stable and precise in navigating a predetermined challenging course.

Gunungkidul, September 16, 2024 - Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) once again showed its commitment in advancing drone technology by hosting the 2024 Indonesian Flying Robot Contest (KRTI). Held at the Gading Airfield, this event is the result of collaboration between the Indonesian Talent Development Center (BPTI), the National Achievement Center, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, UNY, and the Adisutjipto Air Force.

The 2024 Indonesian Flying Robot Contest (KRTI) officially kicked off at the Faculty of Vocational Studies of UNY Gunungkidul Campus on Friday (13/9), presenting hundreds of participants, visitors, and officials from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. This event is an important point in accelerating the development of flying robot and drone technology in Indonesia.

The cooperation between Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) and the University of Poitiers, France, which began 10 years ago through the Erasmus program, continues to grow rapidly. The partnership began with the visit of Dr. Gerard Mauco, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at the University of Poitiers, and his wife Christine Mauco, a music expert from the Conservatorium of Poitiers, to UNY. The meeting paved the way for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and various collaborative programs that continue to be strengthened over time.

On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, the Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Semarang (SPs UNNES) visited the Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (SPs UNY). The group from SPs UNNES was led by the Coordinator of the Study Program, Prof. Dr. Sarwi, M.Si., who was accompanied by eight students of the Master of Economics and Development Education  program. Meanwhile, SPs UNY as the host was represented by Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M.Kes., AIFO, Director of SPs UNY, along with other leaders.

Margoagung Village, known as a cultural pioneer village, continues to maintain the tradition of bamboo crafts that have been passed down from generation to generation. However, in this modern era, innovation is needed to ensure its sustainability and increase competitiveness. Responding to these challenges, the PPK Team of Ormawa Haska JMF FMIPA UNY came up with the Bamboo Craft Diversification and Digital Marketing Program to help the craftsmen in this village not only maintain, but also develop their bamboo crafts.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) made another academic achievement by inaugurating Prof. Dr. Puji Yanti Fauziah, S.Pd., M.Pd. as a Professor in the field of Nonformal Early Childhood Education (PAUD) recently. After achieving success in the 2023 Indonesian Flying Robot Contest (KRTI) by bringing home 1st place in the Racing Plane Division and 2nd and 3rd place in the Technology Development Division, the Universitas negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) Flying Robot Team is now preparing to compete in KRTI 2024. However, this time there is something special-UNY is not only participating as a participant, but also hosting this prestigious event which will be held from September 12 to 18, 2024 at the Faculty of Vocational Studies UNY and Gading Airfield, Gunung Kidul.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) through the Applied Linguistics Study Program of the Faculty of Language, Arts and Culture (FBSB), strengthened its commitment in supporting the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). This was realized through the signing of a cooperation document between UNY and the Sleman Regency Cooperative Office of Small and Medium Enterprises, which also involved 63 MSME partners from various sectors such as food, fashion, herbs, plants, to IT startups.
