Community Empowerment Based on Local Potential Assisted by Information Technology.

Information technology has a very strategic role in helping empower people's potential. Empowerment of community members is strongly influenced by internal motivation (soft skills) and external motivation (presence of other people, environment, facilities, media, culture, community structure and so on). Community empowerment begins with making people aware of conditions, problems, needs and potential as initial capital for developing potential through capacity building (giving the power), utilizing power, managing power and developing it functionally.

Isti Yunita, M.Sc., Ph.D., lecturer in the Department of Chemistry Education, UNY, recently became a visiting professor at the Department of Mining and Metallurgical Institute, Satbayev University, Kazakhstan. Isti had the opportunity to teach about "Green Catalyst for chemical transformation: The need for sustainable development". Isti explained about the manufacture of catalysts from egg shell waste to overcome the problem of plastic bottle waste, so that it can be concluded from the optimization of waste to solve waste problem.

Preverving "Luk Luk Lumbu" through Matching Fund Program

UNY Welcomes Changes in Early 2023

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta(UNY) welcomes the beginning of 2023 with a change in organizational structure as part of the change in status of UNY to become a State University with a Legal Entity. On Monday, January 2, 2023, 51 officials attended the inauguration ceremony and oath of office. The Rector of UNY appointed 4 Vice-Rectors, 8 Faculty Deans, 1 Graduate School Director, 24 Faculty Deputy Deans, 2 Graduate School Vice-Directors, 6 Directorate Directors, and 6 Directorate Secretaries.

Bibliometric Analysis in Mapping Research Trends

Trends in research are always dynamic. This is why KMP UNY held a Bibliometric research workshop on November 9, 2022 with the theme "Bibliometric Analysis in Mapping Research Trends.". It's a shame that the inheritance of traditional arts in this decade has decreased compared to the previous period, especially in the 1980s. UNY Opens Cooperation Opportunities in East Africa through visits to Burundi and Kenya
