To improve the quality of public service in the digital era, the Center for Apparatus Development at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Puspa Komdigi) organized a technical training titled Excellent Service in the Digital Era, held from June 16–20, 2025. The event welcomed 46 public relations officers and civil servants from various institutions, including Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), which delegated Dedy Herdito to take part.

To promote financial literacy from an early age, Arifa Nisaut Taqiyya, a student of Economic Education at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), initiated a saving habits training program during her community service (KKN) in collaboration with the local youth group in Canan Village, Wedi, Klaten. Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) students have developed an innovative solution to tackle industrial batik wastewater by transforming discarded orange peel into an effective bioadsorbent. The team, led by Jalu Bahtiar Baharudin from the Biology program, conducted exhaustive laboratory tests to extract pectin from Citrus sinensis peel—identifying its strong binding properties for harmful dye compounds commonly found in batik wastewater.

With a renewed emphasis on staff development, the school aims to elevate the quality of its educational and administrative services. These efforts include targeted training sessions, workshops, and mentoring programs designed to foster professional growth and operational excellence.

On Saturday, June 7, 2025, the Rectorate of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) held the annual Qurban (sacrifice) ceremony in the parking area of the UNY Auditorium. This year, the university sacrificed three cows and three goats, marking an occasion woven into religious reflection and community service for Idul Adha. The event drew enthusiastic participation from faculty, staff, students, and community members 

Among proud graduates at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta’s (UNY) May 2025 commencement, one name drew heartfelt applause—Frida Hertiza Dewi, the top graduate from the Educational Management program. With a near-perfect GPA of 3.97 and a study period of just three and a half years, Frida’s academic record is impressive. But what made her story stand out even more was her humility. “I’m not here because I’m the smartest,” she shared. “I’m here because I kept going, even when things got tough.”
