UNY Graduate School encourages the development of cooperation networks with global partners. One of the implementations of this visit was realized through UNY's participation in various activities in the fields of education and arts. UNY, represented by Deputy Director II, Dr. Widyastuti Purbani, M.A. attended the Poetry Workshop at Michigan State University (MSU) as well as signed an Implementation Agreement aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two institutions.

UNY and Pertamina Foundation officially committed to partnering in the development of quality human resources, joint research and community service through the signing of a cooperation document on February 7, 2024. In this activity, UNY was represented by Prof. Margana as Vice-Rector for Research, Cooperation, Information Systems and Entrepreneurship. While the Pertamina Foundation delegation was directly led by Bambang Pediantoro as the Pertamina Foundation Supervisory Board, and Agus Mashud S. Asngari as the President Director of Pertamina Foundation.

UNY signed the Implementation of Academic Cooperation with Jiangshu Polytechnic Institute. The UNY delegation led by the Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M.Kes., AIFO. The event was recently attended by the President of Jiangshu Vocational Institute of Architectural Technology, Head of JVIAT International Office, PiC Zheng He College Program for Asia. While from Indonesia, it was represented by the Director of SEAMEO, BBGP of  Banten Province and the representative of the Ministry of Education.

In the turmoil of digital transformation, education has become an inseparable part of the changes taking place in Indonesia. However, with the widespread use of technology in learning, there are risks to forming active subjects in education. Prof. Dr. Sugeng Bayu Wahyono, M.Si., professor of Sociology of Education, Faculty of Education and Psychology, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, offers meaningful education as an alternative solution in facing the challenges and opportunities in the digital era.

The Indonesian delegation participated in the 2024 World Digital Education and Digital Educational Governance held in Shanghai, People's Republic of China. The event was held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Shangha, Pudong, recently. UNY Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs Prof. Siswantoyo, who represented Indonesian universities in the forum, received a warm welcome from local UNESCO Tech officials and their staff.

The Regional Secretary of North Kalimantan Province, Dr. H. Suriansyah, M. AP, led a cooperation visit to UNY on February 2, 2024. "North Kalimantan was formed based on Law No. 20 of 2012 with a population of only 700 thousand people. As a province that is still 12 years old, we are progressively cooperating in various fields, such as improving teacher academic qualification and quality," said Suriansyah.

"Participants of the Professional Teacher Education Program are expected to have harmonious, and balanced outputs. I hope that the participants of this program not only have cognitive and psychomotor competencies, but also affective," said UNY Rector, Prof. Dr. Sumaryanto, M. Kes., AIFO at the "Academic Orientation for Batch 1 2024 Teacher Professional Education participants". There were 698 students from 16 fields of study attending this activity.

"We would like to thank the lecturers who received additional assignments. Organizationally, there are still many programs, activities and services that we need to do more optimally. The faculty hopes that the recipients of this additional assignment can contribute maximum thoughts and energy. This is an opportunity to contribute non-academically, facilitate more effective coordination and foster student talents," said the Dean of FMIPA UNY, Prof. Dr.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta signed a memorandum of understanding with Bank Woori Saudara (BWS) at UNY Hotel, on January 15, 2024. In this activity, Prof. Margana, as Vice Rector for Research, Cooperation, Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship Affairs, represented the Rector of UNY. In addition, the Vice Deans, the Director and Secretary of the Directorate, Expert Staff, and a number of UNY faculty members were also present.
