The key to success being an entrepreneur is to be courageous.  To be successful, it is important for any entrepreneur to dare facing the risk, dare to lose, dare to gain profit and dare to succeed. “If you do not have the courage, you won’t be a successful entrepeneur,” Ibnu Kurniawan Hidayat, S.Pt said on general lecture held in UNY’ Faculty of Social Sciences on Friday (11/10/2019). This general lecture was attended by students of Public Administration Study Program UNY.

UNY STUDENTS WINNING SILVER MEDAL IN 2019 INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION OF IDEAS, INVENTION AND INNOVATION (I-FAME) IN UITM MALAYSIA

UNY student team successfully earn silver medal at The 2019 Inventors’ Hall of Fame, International Competition of Ideas, Inventions & Innovations (I-Fame) 2019 in Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Kedah, Malaysia. The team consist of Rusita (Chemistry), Intania Putri (Chemistry), Nuzulia (English Education), Watik Novianingsih (Social Sciences Education), and Lilis Aryanti (Office Management). Participants of I-Fame 2019 came from various countries from Indonesia, Malaysia, Bulgary, Nigeria, United Kingdom, Thailand, Bangladesh, and China.

APPLICATION OF SPORT SCIENCE FOR IMPROVING SPORTS PERFORMANCE IN INDONESIA

"Sport Science is needed to develop high-performance athletes, especially physical, technical, tactic and psychological. PUBLIC LECTURE AT UNY PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT

The Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Social Sciences, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta organized a Public Lecture for Public Administration students with the theme “Challenges of South East Asian Countries to Achieve Sustainability Development”. HYBRID POWERED AUTOMATIC BIOGAS EQUIPMENT

Fossil energy sources is running low. It will greatly affect our need for transportation, industry, electricity and many more. This has risen the need to innovate more on any potential renewable energy sources. One of the options that we have is biogas. Utilization of biogas energy sources has begun to be developed at the PandanMulyo Agriculture and Rural Training Center in NgentakPoncosariSrandakan, Bantul. The production capacity is quite limited.

MAPPING FOR EVACUATION PATH OF LIQUEFACTION DISASTER IN OPAK FAULT AREA BY UNY STUDENTS

Indonesia located among 3 major plates and in the path of Mediterranean Fault and Pacific Fault which make it prone to earthquake. An earthquake can cause other disasters such as the liquefaction that hit Central Sulawesi in 2018. For Yogyakarta, such potential risk is also found in the Opak Fault area that stretches from Parangtritis to Prambanan.

Andy DwikiIranda and NovitaNurbaiti are both from UNY Accounting Education Study program. They successfully won Second Place in the National Scientific Writing Contest in a series of Economic Fairs at UniversitasJember(UNEJ).

Andy and Novita presented a paper entitled "Li-Funding: Innovation Platform for Crowdfunding-Based MSME Financing Integrated Factoring System for Optimizing Risk Mitigation".

Recently, there have been many new challenges in social life with increasingly ideas that have the potential to destroy the world community. The ideas that then emerge in the form of exclusive values, religious radicalism, strong patriotism, and more social goals are centered on a community that ignores this heterogeneous and diverse world. Individual values, the emergence of intolerance, and are not exempt from the values of other communities as a result of ignoring the heterogeneity of the community, will disrupt the balance of people's lives.
