POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGICAL APPROACH TO TOXIC RELATIONSHIP

Toxic relationships are relationships that are not pleasant for yourself or others. This relationship will also make someone feel worse. Toxic relationship characteristics include insecure feeling, jealousy, selfishness, dishonesty, condescension, negative comments, and negative criticizing. Such brief explanation was mentioned by  Dr. Nurlaila Effendy, M.Si in “Positive Psychology Seminar and Workshop on Positive Psychology Approach in Toxic Relationship”.

WORKSHOP ON UNDERSTANDING, LIMITATION AND PREVENTION OF CORRUPTION AND GRATIFICATION

To give better understanding and knowledge about the danger of corruption and gratification, UNY officials are invited to participate in Workshop on Understanding, Limitation and Prevention of Corruption and Gratification by Corruption Eradication Commission or KPK at New Saphir Yogyakarta Hotel (16/12/2019).There are 100 participants attend the workshop. Edi Purwanta, Vice Rector for General affairs and Finance UNY in his remark hoped that structural officials and treasurers have to be more careful especially related with gratification issues. 

COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAM FOR FISH FARMING GROUP AT ROWO JOMBOR

Dr. Nani Ratnaningsih, S.T.P., M.P., dr. Tutiek Rahayu, M.Kes., and Dr. Mujiyono, S.T., M.T., W.Eng through Community Partnership Program 2019 supported by Directorate of Research and Community Service, the Ministry of Research and Higher Education conducted community service activities to improve the quality of crispy Nile Tilapia baby fish produced by Tani Karya Mina Utama Group at Rowo Jombor, Klaten Central Java.

MINIMIZING TRAFFIC SIGN VIOLATION WITH AUTOMATIC TRAFFIC SIGN DETECTOR (ATSD)

Most cities in Indonesia have heavy traffic. Unfortunately, any traffic sign violation made things worse. It is common to find that certain traffic congestion started with careless parking, stopping at forbidden spot and many more. This makes violations of traffic signs known as the top 3 of traffic violation that often occur.

Faculty of Engineering Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta collaborates with PT Global Carfix Indonesia to organized Training Program for Head Branches and Service Advisor. This program was started with the signing of Memorandum of Agreement(MoA) between President Director of PT Global Carfix Indonesia, Tarsimin and the Dean of Faculty of Engineering UNY, Prof. Herman Dwi Surjono, Ph.D. The MoA will be the basis for cooperation activities on the faculty level. UNY STUDENTS TEAM WON FAVORITE WINNER AT PIMNAS

UNY Students Creativity Program Team won as favorite winner in National Students Scientific Week (Pimnas) in Bali. The team consist of Lilik Nurkhamid and Andi Siyam Mawardi (Fine Arts Education), Najla Ifa Mumtaza (Accounting Education), Anggi Fatika Sari (Chemical Education) and Nadhila Hibatul Nastikaputri (Indonesian Language and Literature). The team made the work under title “Panji Mask Backpack as Gunungkidul Iconic Handicraft” as unique souvenir of Gunungkidul.

PERMATA SAKTI EXPERIENCE AT UNY

Nuha Aulia Fadhillah from Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) has participated in PERMATA SAKTI Program conducted in Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). This program gave the opportunity for students in various university in Indonesia to get a taste on how to live and study at different university. This program run in reciprocal approach. UNY hosted several students from UNP to study in UNY while at the same time, UNY also send several Students to study in UNP.  “I’ve learned many ways to adapt and respect people despite of cultural differences,” Nuha said.

UNY STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN SHORT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM AT SOUTHERN TAIWAN UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

Yuda Pamungkas (Electronics Engineering Education) and Muhammad Solikhin (Automotive Engineering Education) took part in the Short Internship Program at Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology (STUST), Tainan City, Taiwan which lasted for two weeks (04 / 11-16 / 11/2019). The internship itself placed them both in Mechanical-Mechatronics Engineering and Mechanical-Thermo Fluids, and Energy Laboratory.
