Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of UNY welcomed a visit from Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka (UHAMKA) on 17 February 2020. The Dean of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Prof. Dr. Ariswan, M.Sc., DEA said that accepting visits from other institutions is part of institutional service and UNY prepared to share any needed information. “We can discuss further on how to develop institution,” Ariswan said.

FACULTY OF LANGUAGES AND ARTS’ (FBS) STUDENT WON HAMKA POETRY READING CONTEST

Faculty of Languages and Arts’ (FBS) student, Anisa Rahayu got the first place on poetry reading contest held in HAMKA 1 Senior High School, Bekasi as known as SMANSASI. The contest is an annual event managed by Kansas (Literature Writing Community). Anisa read Nirwanto’s “Perenang Buta” poetry. The poetry was published on poetry anthology with the title Jantung Lebah Ratu in Gramedia Pustaka Utama (GPU) 2008.

CERITA MAYA & MIRA : AN ANTOLOGY BOOK OF SHORT STORIES BY FBS STUDENTS

Two students from Faculty of Language and Arts (FBS), Nadhila Hibatul Nastika Putri and Muhammad Fajar Riyadi (also known as Uye), published an antology of short story book by title Cerita Maya & Mira. The book is published by Quark on February 2019.

Both Nadhila and Uye believed that it is important to published their work in a book. “Publishing a book is really important, because we will have the other work besides the thesis book on our academic life as a college student,” said Uye.

Machining Process is a process which used for removing some work unit dimension using machine tool and metal cutting process so the intended components are shaped. NEW ZEALAND EDUCATION AND SCHOLARSHIP INFO SESSION AT UNY

In collaboration with the International Office of UNY, New Zealand Education held an info session of education and scholarship titled “Study, Live and Work in New Zealand” in the main assembly room, Rectors Building, on Wednesday, February 12, 2020.

Adi Cilik Pierewan, Expert Staff for International Affairs of UNY said that the event is set to give information for everyone who wants to continue their study abroad. “This is important for final semester students in Yogyakarta, especially in UNY as part of their preparation for future higher education application.”
