Various issues arise in the management of graduate schools related to the integration of master's and doctoral levels that join the faculty, mono vs multi-disciplinary and transdisciplinary. These are the challenges and opportunities discussed in the meeting of the Association of Postgraduate Leaders of State Universities throughout Indonesia held on May 10-12, 2024. 47 participants actively participated in this meeting.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta is one of 9 campuses in Yogyakarta that is organizing the 2024 General Election on Wednesday (14/2) by opening 6 polling stations (TPS) spread across six locations, namely UNY Rectorate Hall, Session Room 1 GOR, FISHIPOL Deanate Building 1st Floor, FT Deanate Building 1st Floor, Cine Club Room 1st Floor Ki Ageng Suryomentram Building FBSB UNY, and Deanate Building 1st Floor FMIPA UNY.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta held a Professor inauguration ceremony on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the Auditorium UNY. The 14 professors who were inaugurated today came from 6 faculties, namely the Faculty of Education and Psychology, Faculty of Language Arts and Culture, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Social, Legal and Political Sciences, Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences , and Faculty of Engineering.

In 2022 UNY won 11 awards in the Ristekdikti Award in the Public Service Agency cluster. This year, the competition is even tougher because UNY is included in the Legal Entity State Universities cluster. The benefits of this award are introducing institutions, programs, and products of State Universities, Private Universities, partners, journalists and media, and other stakeholders.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) officially inaugurated 15 professors on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the Performance Hall of the Faculty of Language Arts and Culture UNY. The new professors come from 5 faculties: the Faculty of Education and Psychology, the Faculty of Language Arts and Culture, the Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences, the Faculty of Engineering, and the Faculty of Economics and Business. 

To accelerate various new paradigms, UNY formed a task force following these aspects: entrepreneurship university, research and cyber university, and strengthening partner universities (Sisters-Enhancement University) by fostering corporate professionals in the form of responsibility, transparency, accountability, and fairness and equality. Therefore, hexahelix-based collaboration is needed, namely universities, government / local governments, school communities, the general public, the world of industry, the world of work and business, and the mass media.

Since 1964, UNY has facilitated prospective students with disabilities during admission (SIPENMARU). UNY has graduated many students with disabilities in undergraduate and postgraduate studies and has been accepted as a civil servant. UNY has a special education department that studies special education. In addition, a special education study is inherent in the Center for Elementary Education Studies at the Research Institute (1990-2000), where activities are in collaboration with the DIY Regional Government and a disability study centre under LPPM until 2018. Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) in collaboration with the Directorate of Resources of the Directorate General (DIKTIRISTEK) held a workshop on Provisioning and Competency Test of Lecturer Workload Assessors (BKD) on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at the UNY Hotel. Most of the invitees, both assessors and prospective assessors who were invited by the UNY Administrative system, participated in the event thoroughly.
