Vice-Rector for Academic and Students' Affairs Prof. Siswantoyo accompanied by Vice-Rector for Research, Cooperation, Information Systems and Business Prof. Margana welcomed the arrival of the Board of Trustees of Apkasi (Association of Regency Governments throughout Indonesia) Drs. Sokhiatulo Laoli, MM accompanied by expert staff in the field of Apkasi education at the Rectorate of UNY. On this occasion, Sokhiatulo Lauli said that he came to UNY to follow up on the MoU that had been signed between UNY and Apkasi.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) received the "Best Student Sports Coaching College" award from KONI DIY this time. This award was given because UNY contributes the most to the sports field in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The award was given directly by the Deputy Governor of Yogyakarta, KGPAA Paku Alam X to the Rector of UNY, Prof. Dr. Sumaryanto, M.Kes., on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Grand Tjokro Yogyakarta Hotel.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta’s International Office recently hosted a State Universities as Legal Entity (PTNBH) Internationalization Socialization at the UNY Hotel. It was attended by the Rector, Vice Rector, Vice Deans of Academic, Student, and Alumni Affairs, Vice Deans of Research, Cooperation, Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship, the UNY WCU Team, and the UUIK Team for each Faculty.

The UNY Department of Non-Formal Education, in collaboration with DPP FK PKBM Indonesia, successfully held a National Seminar with the theme "PKBM Builds Villages" on January 28, 2023. Present online as the keynote speaker were the Minister of Villages, PDT and Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. (HC) Drs. H. Abdul Halim Iskandar, M.Pd.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) won several awards at the 2022 Kemdikbudristek Diktiristek Award Night held by the Directorate General of Higher Education on Thursday, 15 December 2022. In the 2022 Diktiristek Public Relations Award, UNY won the Gold Winner for Social Media, Websites, and Integrated Service Units, while the magazine category won a Silver Winner.

The Accountability Performance System for Government Agencies (SAKIP) is one of the means to implement good governance. SAKIP has a strategic role as a tool to improve policies and encourage government agencies to innovate and design programs and activities to achieve goals. To further promote the implementation of SAKIP, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta held a workshop on Friday, July 22, 2022.

"Sufficient communication skills will provide an opportunity to effectively brand UNY, so potential partners are interested in collaborating with UNY. Hopefully, this training can improve our communication quality effectively," said Vice-Rector for Planning and Cooperation of UNY, Prof. Siswantoyo, in the opening of the public speaking training on Thursday, July 7, 2022. There were 23 UNY Public Relations and Cooperation staff who participated in this activity

Based on the Rector Decree as of July 1, 2022, the educational structural positions in Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), which previously consisted of the Head of Section and several Heads of Sub-Sections, have now been changed to Coordinator and Coordinator Secretary. This change is a form of bureaucratic reform within the Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta and structural streamlining, which is expected to be more effective and efficient, following the direction promoted by the Ministry of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform of the Republic of Indonesia.

Following the 2020-2025 UNY strategic plan, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) strives to implement good governance and services. In particular, the Bureau of General Affairs, Planning, and Finance (BUPK) of UNY has encouraged the improvement of the quality of the management of the procurement of goods and services. To strengthen, UNY held a workshop and FGD on Improving the Management of Procurement of Goods and Services on June 14, 2022.
