Teaching during the Covid-19 pandemic requires teachers to adapt to online learning systems and use effective media. The impact of the online learning system that has been running so far certainly affects the psychological condition of students on learning so that alternative strategies for delivering learning materials are needed that are more interesting and meaningful. This problem has caught the attention of UNY lecturers, namely Dr. Dyah Purwaningsih, M.Sc. (Chemistry Education Study Program), Dr. Pujianto, M.Pd. (Physics Education study program) and Anik Widiastuti M.Pd.

Career skills are essential to face dynamic changes in various work. Career skills consist of curiosity, perseverance, flexibility, optimism, and risk-taking. Therefore, it makes sense to place career skills as an essential aspect that needs to be instilled through learning in vocational education. Furthermore, the physical and mental experience that students get in the form of seeing, feeling, holding, and real-life working experience is a form of Tacit Knowledge that cannot be obtained through ordinary learning.

Kulon Progo Regency is one of the five regencies/cities in the Special Province of Yogyakarta, which is located in the western part. Kulon Progo Regency has a varied topography with an altitude between 0 - 1000 meters above sea level, which is divided into three regions. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the government encouraged the implementation of online learning at schools and higher education. In order to prevent the transmission of the Covid-19 virus, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, in collaboration with the Sleman Health Service, carried out a booster vaccination for lecturers and education staff on Sunday, 30 January 2022. "This vaccination aims to achieve herd immunity because Covid cases have not disappeared at all. There is even a trend the case went up because there was a new variant of Omicron. Therefore, to help increase antibodies, we need a third booster vaccination,” said dr. Siti Hardiyanti from Depok III Health Center, Sleman.

UNY won the sixth position out of 576 universities in Indonesia and ranked 65th in Asia. Volcanic activity in Indonesia sometimes causes eruptions accompanied by volcanic ash, which causes a decrease in air quality in the area around the mountain. The decrease in air quality by volcanic ash is caused by chemical gases such as CO, NO2, and SO2, so any long exposure to volcanic ash may cause acute respiratory infection (ARI). Unfortunately, the N95 masks that the public has used have not effectively filtered volcanic ash less than 300nm in size. In addition, the polymer content made from plastic in N95 masks is prone to waste that is difficult to degrade naturally.
