SHIBORI TRAINING FOR DPW UNY MEMBER

One of the cloth Dyeing techniques is shibori. This technique originated in Japan. Fabric coloring using the shibori technique produces patterns similar to batik, especially the jumputan batik motif. This similarity has prompted the  Shibori Cloth Making Training and Competition. Each Faculty and Institution sent two participants to take part in this training and competition. The total participants this time were 22 members of the UNY DPW.

WORKSHOP OF COPYRIGHT REGISTRATION SYSTEM OF UNIVERSITAS NEGERI YOGYAKARTA THROUGH THE DJKI SYSTEM OF THE MINISTRY OF LAW AND HUMAN RIGHTS

Research activities and Community Service of UNY lecturers and students using internal funds and external funds such as from DP2M, RISTEK, PEMDA, LIPI, and others have increased from year to year. The success of a research program in an institution can be seen from the number of research outputs, both in the form of articles published nationally and internationally, the number of intellectual property rights, appropriate technology applied to the community, and textbooks.

TRAINING TO MAKE TOFU STICKS FOR PLERET COMMUNITY

The Student Executive Board (BEM) of UNY accompanies MSMEs in Pleret Village, Bantul, Yogyakarta Special Region. This activity aims to optimize the potential of MSMEs in Pleret Village based on the Ecoedu Culture Center with various exciting and educational activities and make Pleret Village a new destination center for the wider community. This assistance is one part of the Wira Desa Program initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.

UNY SOCIOLOGY EDUCATION STUDY PROGRAM SUPPORT VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT IN BANTUL

The Out-Campus Learning Activities Team of UNY's Sociology Education Study Program collaborated with Women Farmers Group (KWT) Sedyo Mulyo has carried out several activities in  Tulasan village, Bantul, on October 16, 2021. The team successfully organized mass gymnastics,  local product introduction, and demonstration of eco enzyme processing.  The targets for this activity are KWT members, PKK members, Posyandu cadres, Youth Organizations and children.

SHAPING THE INTEGRITY OF MILLENNIAL STUDENTS TOWARDS A GOLDEN GENERATION OF ANTI-CORRUPTION

Corruption is an act carried out by public officials, where they abuse the public trust authorized to them to gain personal advantage. Meanwhile, according to Law 31/1999 in conjunction with Law 20/2001, corruption is any person who intentionally, against the law, commits an act to enrich himself or another person or a corporation that results in loss of state finances or the country's economy. The direct impacts of corruption may cause expensive health and education costs, increasing poverty and crime rates, and slower economic growth.

STRENGTHENING PEOPLE-TO-PEOPLE RELATIONS BETWEEN INDONESIA AND CHINA THROUGH MANDARIN LANGUAGE TRAINING

The Indonesian Embassy in Beijing has again entrusted Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta to carry out Mandarin language training for school principals. This training also involves the Asean China Center and BFSU (Beijing Foreign Studies University) as partners. The event runs from November 15 to December 3 online. "Political, security, economic relations can be up and down, but if people-to-people relations are strong, the returns will be very fast," said H.E. Mr. Djauhari Oratmangun, Ambassador of The Republic of Indonesia to The People's Republic of China and Mongolia.

UNY WORKSHOP; GUIDANCE IN REGISTERING JOURNALS IN SCOPUS AND WEB OF SCIENCE (WoS)

LPPM Scientific Publication and Periodical Center (PPBI) Yogyakarta State University held a Workshop Register Web of Science Jurnal UNY located at Grand Ambarukmo Hotel Yogyakarta on Saturday, October 30, 2021. The workshop was started with the greetings by Prof. Dr. Samsul Hadi, M.Pd., M.T as the chairman of the meeting at 09.00 a.m. The agenda was thus followed by the Workshop Register Web of Science Journal UNY and attended by UNY lecturers.

INVENTED INNOVATION IN RECYCLING RAINWATER AND HOUSEHOLD SEWAGE, UNY STUDENTS ACHIEVED REWARD

The Department of Civil Engineering Education and Planning, Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University (FT UNY) team became Cinnertion's Favorite Champion in the D'Village 10th Edition held by the Surabaya Institute of Technology (ITS) (02/06– 31/10/2021). The team consists of M. Fajar Amir (Civil Engineering Education and Planning), Novarida Nurul Sabrina (Applied Bachelor Civil Engineering Study Program), and Raden Rara Bintang Permata Hati (Civil Engineering Education and Planning Study Program) supervised by Qonaah Rizqi Fajriani, M.Eng.

HYDRO COIL TURBINE, A PORTABLE POWER PLANT BY UNY STUDENTS

The need and demand for electricity in Indonesia are significantly increasing, yet the supply of energy sources is diminished. Concerning the issue, water can be a potential resource to be utilized as alternative energy. However, the use of water as alternative energy has not been used optimally. This is what prompted a group of UNY students to invent portable hydroelectric power plants that can meet electricity needs, especially in rural and remote areas.

UNY JOINED THE UNIVERSITY-INDUSTRY RESEARCH ALLIANCE

The Beijing and the Republic of Indonesia embassy facilitated the establishment of the "Indonesia-China-Industry-University Research" alliance to accommodate entrepreneurs and students for both countries. This alliance is a breakthrough in terms of link and match between the industrial sector and universities, said Yaya Sutarya. A total of 150 Chinese universities were ready to cooperate in the alliance, which consists of TOP100 QS WUR and Non-TOP100 QS WUR Colleges.
