Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening international academic networks through the participation of lecturers from the Department of Sociology Education, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), in the Eurasia Convention 2026, held in Busan, South Korea, from August 3 to 5, 2026.

Two Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) students, Nosi Anggana and Kuswantoro, were named finalists in the 2026 National Outstanding Student Awards (Pilmapres), held at Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN), Tangerang, Banten, from August 4 to 8, 2026. The two represented UNY in different categories.

Fourth-semester students of the History Study Program successfully held a temporary exhibition titled “Manusa Rasa: What Remains of Humanity.” The exhibition, which combined history and literature, was held recently at Sangkasa Art Gallery.

A Student Creativity Program in Community Service (PKM-PM) team from Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) held a Connecting with Others activity as part of the I’M STRONG program at the Mardiko Waste Processing Center in Bantul. Using a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) approach, the program was designed to foster empathy, improve social skills, and strengthen children’s ability to build healthy relationships with the people and environment around them.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) continues to strengthen its commitment to building a sustainable campus through the provision of two Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations located on the Rectorate grounds and at the Faculty of Engineering (FT), each with a capacity of 1 kW. The presence of these facilities is part of UNY’s efforts to support the acceleration of the electric vehicle ecosystem while providing supporting infrastructure for members of the academic community and campus guests who use electric vehicles.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) has once again recorded an outstanding achievement at the international level by securing Fully Accredited status from ACQUIN (Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute) for 17 study programs across seven clusters. This achievement reflects UNY’s concrete dedication to developing a culture of quality and strengthening its position in higher education at the international level.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) has once again strengthened its international presence. Lecturer of the Doctoral Program in Arts Education, Faculty of Languages, Arts, and Culture (FBSB) UNY, Prof. Dr. Kun Setyaning Astuti, M.Pd., was invited as a guest lecturer in the Summer School: Effective Teaching for the Future (SumSet) program organized by the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, one of the world’s top 100 universities.
