Traditional medicine must be recognized as having a special place in Indonesian culture and tradition. However, learning traditional medicine in a structured and tested manner is not easy. Therefore, UNY through the Faculty of Vocational Studies officially opened the Diploma of Indonesian Traditional Medicine (PTI) program as an answer to the public's interest in learning and preserving Indonesian traditional medicine.

Improving the quality of Biology Education Master Program through LAMDIK Accreditation

UNY welcomes the visit of assessors from the Educational Self-Accreditation Institute (LAMDIK). The visit was conducted by Prof. Dr. Muslimin Ibrahim, M.Pd. (Universitas Nahdatul Ulama Surabaya) and Prof. Dr. Ainur Rofieq, M.Kes. (Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang).

The Professional Certification Institute (LSP) UNY held an Upgrading of Competency Test Materials (MUK) Version 2023 LSP UNY with the theme Improving the Quality and Relevance of Competencies, on Friday, February 16, 2024 at the UNY Hotel Ballroom. UNY opens 6 polling stations for General Election 2024

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta is one of 9 campuses in Yogyakarta that is organizing the 2024 General Election on Wednesday (14/2) by opening 6 polling stations (TPS) spread across six locations, namely UNY Rectorate Hall, Session Room 1 GOR, FISHIPOL Deanate Building 1st Floor, FT Deanate Building 1st Floor, Cine Club Room 1st Floor Ki Ageng Suryomentram Building FBSB UNY, and Deanate Building 1st Floor FMIPA UNY.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta hosted a significant workshop on February 6, 2024, which addressed the strategic governance of higher education institutions. Development of UNY international cooperation network through poetry workshop and signing of cooperation document with Michigan State University

UNY Graduate School encourages the development of cooperation networks with global partners. One of the implementations of this visit was realized through UNY's participation in various activities in the fields of education and arts. UNY and Pertamina Foundation officially committed to partnering in the development of quality human resources, joint research and community service through the signing of a cooperation document on February 7, 2024. In this activity, UNY was represented by Prof. Margana as Vice-Rector for Research, Cooperation, Information Systems and Entrepreneurship. While the Pertamina Foundation delegation was directly led by Bambang Pediantoro as the Pertamina Foundation Supervisory Board, and Agus Mashud S. UNY opens Zheng College Program Project Opportunities with JVIAT and Jiangsu Province

UNY signed the Implementation of Academic Cooperation with Jiangshu Polytechnic Institute. The UNY delegation led by the Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M.Kes., AIFO. The event was recently attended by the President of Jiangshu Vocational Institute of Architectural Technology, Head of JVIAT International Office, PiC Zheng He College Program for Asia. While from Indonesia, it was represented by the Director of SEAMEO, BBGP of  Banten Province and the representative of the Ministry of Education.
