Combining the concept of hydroponic farming with Internet of Things (IoT) technology

The UNY student team consisting of Guntur Andreansyah, Aziz Putra Setyawan, Adellyazahra Ayu L, Ainun Khairunisa and Lathifa Khalisa Abid under the guidance of Mathematics Education Department lecturer, Husna 'Arifah, M.Sc won first place in the "Indonesian Student Entrepreneurship Innovation Competition (LIKMI) #3". The competition, which took place on March 2, 2024, became a vehicle for 483 teams from 140 universities to present innovative ideas about entrepreneurship.

UNY Forges New Educational Collaborations at APAIE Conference 2024

The Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) Conference and Exhibition 2024, held from March 4th to 8th at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Center (PCEC) in Perth, Australia, witnessed the active participation of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). This annual event serves as a platform to promote and connect various higher education institutions. Over the years, APAIE has remained steadfast in its mission to unify international educators.

Stikes Guna Bangsa Students Practicum at UNY

A total of 44 students of the Nursing program from STIKES Guna Bangsa Yogyakarta practiced in the Physics Education laboratory and the Biology Education laboratory of UNY. The practice was held on Saturday, 2/3/24. Students were divided into 2 groups. The first group of 22 students went to the Basic Physics laboratory, and the other group went to the Basic Biology laboratory. The practicum was guided by the lecturers in the laboratory.

Ega Ayu Wulandari brought a smile of happiness to her parents, Sumaryanto and Peni Lestari. Ega successfully graduated from UNY's Indonesian Language and Literature Education study program with a GPA of 3.78.

"My parents' income, which is only enough to fulfill their daily needs, made me hesitate to go to college," said Ega.

"But fortunately, there is a KIP-College scholarship that can help my daughter's tuition fees. I am happy that Ega can finally study at UNY," said Sumaryanto, Ega's father.

43 UNY students ready to join Batch II International Internship in Japan

UNY organized the Debriefing and Release of Students Participating in International Internship in Japan on Wednesday (29/2). A total of 43 students from 10 study programs will carry out internships in 7 companies, namely Watanabe Kogyo, Co., Ltd; Yokoyama Kenma Kogyo Co.; Yutaka Seisakusho, Co., Ltd.; Sagami Fresh Co,. Ltd.; Imazato Foods Co., Ltd.; Marco Foods Co., Ltd.; and Mutou Densetsu Kougyo, Co., Ltd. Since 2017, UNY has regularly sent students to Japan, to carry out internships for 6 months to 1 year, in industries that are relevant to the student's original study program.

Expanding access to resources and research reach through UNY's partnership with ITDA

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) and Institut Teknologi Dirgantara Adisucipto (ITDA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in education, research, and technology development on February 29, 2024 at Husein Sastranegara Hall, ITDA Campus, Yogyakarta.

UNY and ITDA agreed to strengthen various academic programs, student and staff exchanges, and collaboration in relevant research projects. The collaboration is expected to provide new opportunities for students and lecturers to access wider resources and experiences, as well as expand the range of research conducted.
