The Regional Secretary of North Kalimantan Province, Dr. H. Suriansyah, M. AP, led a cooperation visit to UNY on February 2, 2024. "North Kalimantan was formed based on Law No. 20 of 2012 with a population of only 700 thousand people. As a province that is still 12 years old, we are progressively cooperating in various fields, such as improving teacher academic qualification and quality," said Suriansyah.

"Participants of the Professional Teacher Education Program are expected to have harmonious, and balanced outputs. I hope that the participants of this program not only have cognitive and psychomotor competencies, but also affective," said UNY Rector, Prof. Dr. Sumaryanto, M. Kes., AIFO at the "Academic Orientation for Batch 1 2024 Teacher Professional Education participants". There were 698 students from 16 fields of study attending this activity.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta signed a memorandum of understanding with Bank Woori Saudara (BWS) at UNY Hotel, on January 15, 2024. In this activity, Prof. Margana, as Vice Rector for Research, Cooperation, Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship Affairs, represented the Rector of UNY. In addition, the Vice Deans, the Director and Secretary of the Directorate, Expert Staff, and a number of UNY faculty members were also present.

The specialty of this program is that selected students can choose the university and study program they want. Sumbersari Village, Purworejo Regency, is one of the banana-producing villages. Currently, some MSMEs specialize in processing bananas into chips. "Unfortunately, the waste in the form of banana peels is usually thrown away. Therefore, we initiated to manage banana peel waste into valuable foodstuffs through the Educreative Entrepreneurship class program," said Aji Aryo Prayoga, head of the UNY student community service team in Sumbersari village on December 15, 2023. The community gained knowledge of the production process, SWOT analysis, and marketing strategies through this class.
